Comment:
She is nice as a person however she seems as if she takes on way to much. She is very confusing she had no idea when things are due. She never gives an exact direction on how do something or how she wasgoing to grade it so you never really know what to expect. You never truly know your grade until the course is over. Prepare to be very confused.

This teacher is AWFUL! She is very disorganized, and doesn't know how to grade. If you have to take her, you better be prepared to make your papers perfect. Even though she says it's a rough draft you're turning into her, its not. She expects a perfect paper. Be prepared to be lost.

I would advise you to NOT take her class. She was very disorganized throughout the semester, and changed the final project at the last minute. I took the time to meet with her on many occasions, which only left me more confused. She doesn't know how to grade, and we didn't know our grade until the last couple days of class.

Thought the class would discuss YA literature- but is focused on teaching more than the actual books. She acts as if everyone attending is a teaching student and discusses teaching to middle and high school students more than the YA genre.

Honestly, I was super excited to take this class. The class wasn't hard, all you have to do is stay on top of reading, and do your discussion board posts. The hardest part about this class is that she is hard to understand. She gives kind of directions, but doesn't clarify. Just be wary of this as you venture into the class.

I got an A. Confused most of the semester. She's not a bad professor, but sometimes she's a little incomprehensible when it comes to directions. However, she is very passionate!

She can be a bit confusing at times but the class isn't bad. Pretty much constantly working on a paper all semester long, you have to share your papers with groups. No grades, you conference with her and discuss your letter grade.

Shes great! passionate about what she's teaching, tries new things, focuses her class on what we'll be able to take away from it and truly cares if the class is working for us or not. Although sometimes she's unclear about assignments or what she wants from you, she's helpful when you ask her for it and openminded. Difficult class, but well worth i

The other comments probably didn't ask the professor any questions. She is extremely helpful if you seek her advice, she's passionate about what she does, and she has a great interest in her students. The class is a lot of work though. If you're lazy stay away.

When you sign up, you think "Young Adult Literature... should be easy..." It is a lot harder than you think! You read a novel a week and when it comes to how to do the assignments, your guess is as good as hers! lol There are A LOT of discussion board postings on Bb, so stay on top of that.

The woman expects students to be able to read her mind! She won't give any assistance, but grades really hard. I thought this class would be good, but it was a complete nightmare, and many people withdrew. HORRIBLE.
