Comment:
Rossi is a genuinely good teacher and cares a lot that students understand the material he's presenting. Very accessible outside of class and helpful. The science departments here at Cortland are collectively known as such a joke but this man reminds me of why I am a science major in the first place. Didn't have lab with him but lecture is great

Orgo is hard and doent expect to not work for the grade. Homework every week, mini test every week. have to practice a lot from the textbook. Do the suggested questions he gives. study the notes very well. Not the most caring or approachable person but go see him ask your question and leave. Try and study with others that the best way to go

Rossi moves insanely fast through material, and then treats us like we're stupid when we ask questions. More than once, his exams had mistakes that cost us time and points. The only way to pass is to earn foundational points on exams; so if you bomb an exam, earning above a B is nearly impossible. Don't take orgo II unless you absolutely must.

Organic chemistry is a very difficult class that Rossi breaks down to concepts that are as easy as possible to understand. Very energetic in the way he lectures that keeps you paying attention the entire class. The most adorable professor who will go to all lengths to help you as long as he sees youre trying and you go to him. Dry sense of humor

Rossi does a great job trying to make sure students understand the material. He really wants everyone to pass the class and if you make even a small effort he will do the same for you. Seeing him outside of class can be very helpful and beneficial for your grade. Very sarcastic guy with a great sense of humor. Highly recommend.

Rossi is the man. He seems intimidating at first but once you talk to him you see that he's actually a pretty cool guy. He's very animated which makes lecture a bit more interesting. He cares about his students but doesn't have a problem telling you like it is. Would definitely take a class with him again.

He is good at dumbing down difficult content and his tests are super fair. The class is super curved and if you are taking organic chem he is the best professor. The only problem is he thinks he's the smartest man alive and you can tell in the way he talks to people.

Funniest movements. Animated. He explains things clearly. Lets you get points back on tests. But.... the material is really hard and you need to put in a lot of effort.

Great guy, great teacher. When talking to him you might feel like an idiot and almost like he thinks you are, but you will walk away understanding what you needed and then some. Don't be afraid to speak up, he likes students who are actually interested.

By far the most outstanding teacher i've ever came across. Explains things to the finest detail so you will know exactly what he means and means what he says. Even if there is a situation that applies to one person in the class, he will address it to the whole class and explains what the person should do in that situation. Very Easy to understand.

Dr. Rossi makes chemistry interesting. He has the perfect personality for what he teaches and makes it (almost) fun. He is always willing to help and loves to see active/proactive students. The only reason I took Organic Chem 2 was because he taught it. One thing I hated was the online-homework program, it was frustrating (but not his fault)

Dr. Rossi is my favorite teacher i have EVER had!! I didn't do stellar in the class (with a B) but the material is very hard and learning it takes time. Be prepared for the click though - it all comes together around the middle of the semester! Overall, an awesome guy. Can't want to have him next semester!

Sitting through organic is easy when you have a teacher as passionate about chemistry as Rossi. He is a fantastic educator and really puts his students first. Goes the extra mile to help his students where other professors will not. You get what you deserve in this class. If you work hard you will be rewarded, if not you will struggle.

Chem 301 and 302 are very demanding classes. However, thankfully professor Rossi is one of the best teachers I've had here in Cortland. He cares about his students and is very approachable. He visits the Library the last 2 nights before a tests to see if people studying in there have questions. All around a great guy and great teacher!

Professor Rossi is an awesome professor! Organic is real tough but he does what he can to make it as understandable as possible. He is funny and so helpful. He stays in Bowers the night before an exam to help students study..I don't think I would have done as well in the class if he wasn't the teacher.

rossi is a good professor. the material is tough, but he does everything he can to make sure his students do the best they can. he often stays late, gives bonus points on exams, and will even substitute a low exam grade with a higher one. he isn't out to make life difficult for anyone, the fact is that orgo is tough, and it takes a lot of work.

Dr. Rossi is a good guy and I agree about the mannerisms. His passion for chemistry is so admirable. Orgo is the toughest course I have taken in my 5 years of college.. so I imagine its quite hard to teach.

No matter how you look at it, organic is going to be difficult. Rossi was about as helpful as he could be. The man was always in his office offering help. He offered a trailer for the course just to offer extra help. He kind of confuses himself up at the board sometimes, but I highly recommend him as a professor. He does have some funny mannerisms.

Comment:
Rossi is a nut, but he really cares about his students. He is very enthusiastic when teaching, and he is easy to get a hold of when you need help. There's no getting around the fact that Organic is HARD! But, if you make an effort to engage yourself and do your best, 301 and 302 are absolutely not impossible. Rossi is a good guy, give him a chance!
