Comment:
TBH, didn't learn ANYTHING in this class. Only met once a week but sometimes would be late. Boring lectures because it would be on the readings that we did. Everyone was on their devices. There were 2 group presentations and several translation projects to do with your group. Really vague and expects a lot. Talks really slow. Easy work but tedious.

Gerome is very responsive to email and makes a sincere effort to help! However, his guidelines were hard to follow (deadlines incorrect on multiple documents for a team project worth 25% of our final grade, for example). Quizzes are out of left field. Read the chapters throroughly - they're only 15 questions, so you can't afford to miss 2+.

Very laidback guy. Very approachable and understanding. He speaks SLOW, which is good. Easy tests. LOTS of skits which are kind of annoying, but he doesnt expect much out of them; they're mainly just practice for the video project. Take him

One of my favorite Spanish teachers at JMU. He is very knowledgeable, helpful, laidback. Very cool guy as well as teacher. Has a great sense of humor too which comes in handy when learning street slang.

Comment:
A lot of skits- start out annoying and nerve racking but eventually they are sorta fun and can be funny. Make sure you get a good group to begin with for skits! The info in the class is boring though unless you're pursuing law enforcement. EASY exams!! Fairly easy A. A lot of new vocabulary. He's nice and laid back, watch out for attendance!
