Dr. Preisser is probably the best professor you could find for a science. She truly cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Her 101 class is intensive in the time you need to study but she gives tons of EC. 240 was just a blast and she was so excited to be teaching. If you need someone to motivate you to stay in college she's the 1

Gayla is adorable and the sweetest person ever! She is hilarious! Very passionate about her students and her class material. There are a couple of exams throughout the semester. Lots of extra credit or (self-development points). You will need to take notes and read the textbook thoroughly to do well on the exams. Highly recommend this class!

I really enjoyed Dr. Preisser's class, although her voice can get a little annoying the way she runs her class is awesome. Attendance is mandatory and as long as you read and pay attention in lecture passing is practically guaranteed.

She gives lots of extra credit opportunities which is what saved my grade. The class is basically self-taught. As others have said, she goes on crazy tangents and is very scatter-brained. The actual material is rushed and usually given towards the end of class. She gives study guides on Canvas, but you have to keep track of your own grade manually.

Dr. Preissar explains topics in great detail and is a wonderful professor. Other students might find her overwhelming or disorganized but she does a great job teaching. She moves around a lot and keeps your attention.

Shes not very good at teaching, she is kinda crazy but its her personality. she goes through the material really fast and quick and then expects you to know it for the test. She doesnt really teach until like 30 min before the class is over because she just goes over the stupidest things. then at the end of class she glides through the slide quick

Dr. Preisser wants you to read the textbook all the time, this is a self taught class! She gives small extra credit points that will eventually add up, but she expects a lot just for a small amount of points. Test are the only way to get a good grade in the class. Average test scores in the class were always around 65%

Will preach at you to go to college for 90% of the class (even though you're in college). The other 10% is rushed content. She is a great teacher when she teaches the content, but mostly tells you that you should be educated and not stop getting a degree. Nice lady though. Lots of ex cred, but all outside of class. Not good for full time jobs.

Gayla is super entertaining in her long lectures. I always felt a little unprepared for her tests though. The questions on her exams often had complicated wording.

Dr Preisser was one of the best professors I have ever had (10+ years of college). Of the 150+ professors I have had she is in my top 3. You will REALLY learn your stuff. If you are looking for easy go somewhere else. If you want to learn take anything she teaches.

Best professor I've had! I've taken her for PSY101 and PSY240. She is laid back, funny, gives great lectures, and really wants her students to succeed. Lots of tests, makes you work for it but she offers tons of extra credit opportunities. THANK YOU Dr. Preisser for always reminding me how very resilient I am. You are the best!!

Dr. Preisser knows her stuff, but goes on unnecessary tangents most of the time. She will post her PowerPoints online, study the PowerPoint and you will be fine. But be aware, you will have to teach yourself most of the content. She doesn't believe in Canvas so you will have to keep track of your grade yourself.

Dr. Preisser is a decent professor. I loved her personality and she was very funny. She was also very lenient on deadlines and provided SEVERAL extra credit opportunities. What I disliked was that often her lectures were very hard to follow. 99% of the content is self-taught; If you don't read the study material you will not pass the course.

This class was challenging but in a good way. I learned SO much. Few assignments.. lots of tests. Tests will include things not gone over in class but as long as you study and follow the study guides you will do fine. There will also be extra credit opportunities throughout the course. Dr. Preisser is a fantastic professor, definitely recommend!

I'm so glad that I decided to take Psychology with Dr. Preisser because she really challenged me t be the very best student that I can possibly be. Although she does have a tendency to go off on tangents, she is one of the best professors that I have had so far!

She was a decent professor. The activities were really easy but the test could be a little hard. I would say it is an easy B class but to get an A you have to do extra credit or do really good on the test. Her teaching was sometimes all over the place making it kinda hard for the tests. Other than that she was really nice.
