Comment:
Dr. Miller is a good professor if you have very little experience with chemistry/math. He asks a lot of questions during his lectures but they're not the right questions in terms of deep understanding of the topics. He frequently wasted time waiting for people to answer simple addition questions like 3+4 instead of using the time to teach the class

Nice guy, tries to help, but only reason I found this class easy was because I learned 95% of the content in high school chem. Otherwise, I feel bad for the kids who had to struggle through his stunted lectures. The way he explained things was mind-bogglingly lacking. Gave the impression he didn't even know what was going to come out of his mouth.

I took Dr. Miller during Winter term. He is a really caring professor and he cares about his students. He can be a little awkward at first but if you go see him during office hours he won't be. ALWAYS GO TO CLASS. He uses Qwizdoms to take attendance and we get quizzed every day from the previous material learned. GET THE TEXTBOOK! He's great!

I really like Dr. Miller personally, I can see why he may rub people the wrong way at first but he's actually a nice guy once you get to know him. Teaches well but his tests are very difficult- USE THE TEXTBOOK! Luckily he's available all the time and he'll make an effort to help students.

I took him all three terms and though his lectures are pretty boring and repetitive, you will be prepared for the tests. His sig fig rules are pretty bs, but as I don't think anyone actually knows the real rules for sig figs, you just have to adjust to his,

He is difficult but he prepares you well for the ACS exam by being the tough grader he is. He is very flexible regarding meetings and really wants to help you, but as I said, his exams are quite difficult. However, since the final is made by the ACS, it will be a lot easier than his exams, therefore I recommend him, especially for this class.

Yes, many students know that Dr. Miller has quite difficult exams but in his defense, I would say that he lets you think for yourself and develop your problem solving and be creative. When you need help you just have to ask him and he will be there for you. If you score low on quizzes he will tell you to come see him for help. Lecturesinteresting

Dr. Miller is okay. His lectures are pretty boring, but you learn a lot in his class. He has a bit of a god complex, so as a person I didn't really like him, but he is a solid professor.

As a chemistry professor, you would think that Todd would know the rules of sig figs. Alas, that is not true. He tries to make up his own rules and forces you to use them while obviously being incorrect. BUT, he won't acknowledge that they are wrong because, hey, he's always right. Basically, he doesn't know what he is doing. Don't take him.

Lectures are interesting for the most part. Tries to break up the material with a light hearted 3 minute YouTube video. Tests are hard but if you're willing to put in the extra time, he is always willing to help.

Dr. Miller's notes are very clear and he goes over the problems in class until you really get it. He has evening office hours on Tuesday which is really helpful. His tests are hard, but if you study enough, they're not that bad. He can be a tough grader when it comes to sig figs, but overall I think it's a great class.

Dr. Miller made me actually like chemistry and influenced me to get a bio chem minor, he's a bit of a harsh grader but if you attend class he lectures really well, even uses different colored chalk to help you see where numbers and values come from. He can be very condescending but he is still very willing to help if he thinks you deserve it.

Good at explaining material and loves when students come into his office for help. Has very strict rules on tardy work and cheating. Not helpful with homework before its turned in, doesn't care what grade a student receives no matter how hard they work. If you want an A, do not take him. His difficulty increases as the terms progress.

Do not take him. he is rude and egotistical making class very hard to like. He makes test ten times harder than anything he teaches in class and then he tries to take off any point that he possibly can. He treats you like a child but wants you to show all respect towards him. If you can, try and take another professors chem class.

He was somewhat interesting in class but went over stuff quick. He would try to help out of class but really didn't care about anything, excuses were never accepted, no matter how extreme it was such as a girl who's mom died and he wouldn't let her make up any work. There was not tons of homework but still a lot, overall I would've not take him

he is an okay teacher. he goes through all the materials super fast but fairly go over problems that relate to the stuffs. during the review time we go over most of the problems that might be on the test (if you know how to solve them then you are fine) but the only thing i hate about him is he always try to find ways to take off points
