Amie was the type of professor that really care about what you are putting in to the class. She is tough at grading but it because she knows that you can do better and she is expecting the best from you. She is going to push you to be better.

Amie seems to be a deeply unhappy person, her class is not fun to attend nor is it particularly informative. She acts as though shes is above teaching. In addition this professor said she would work w my adhd diagnosis and changed her mind during my graduation ceremony, deciding not to grade any of my work and forcing me to pay for a summer class

Amie is a great professor. She can be extremely tough, but if you keep in mind that it is to make you a better artist, then you'll gain a lot from her class. She CAN lose her temper if you straight up disrespect her, but just don't be an idiot and you'll be absolutely fine. She's extremely helpful, but also doesn't accept laziness. Just work hard.

Amie can be an easy professor but her rules are show up on time and work hard. If you can't do those two things you will not like her class. She always seem happy and smiles alot. She is very easy to work with and is a fun teacher. Very good at what she does.

Amie's rules are simple. Show up for class and work you butt off. She does not accept slackers and she wants people to show up. She is extremely helpful and easy to work with. She is always smiling and easy to communicate with. She's a fun professor.

It's a love her or hate her attitude in the class, but I think she is great. She is well traveled, incredibly knowledgeable and wants the very best work out of her students, which makes it difficult for people taking it as a blow-off class which it clearly is not. She pushes you as an artist and you can't take it personally.

Comment:
She seems unhappy and tends to project this energy into the classroom. It made me dread going to class. She also made me feel bad about my artwork, rather than giving constructive criticism. It was a very negative environment. I did learn some things from Amie. However, most of the time, it was tinged with negativity.

This professor is not helpful at all, she seems to feel that she is too good for most of her classes and is just doing this because she has to. If you have a decent (meaning deep) concept she tears you apart and says you don't know what you are doing, but if you make one up on the fly (on the way to class) you are her golden child.

Aime is not a pleasant person to be around. Before taking a class with her I was eagerly considering to make fibers my major. After one class of dealing with her and realizing that she is the main teacher in that department I quickly found a new major.

If she doesn't like your concept good luck because you will get terrible grades. Her comments are degrading and in no way constructive. She will put your artwork down in a heartbeat and she feels that any type of symbolism is trite even though her artwork consists of smiley face stickers. Overall a very discouraging class for developing artists!
