He definitely cares about his students and structures his lectures to reflect that. This class is not easy and it is easy to mess up, but he gives you a chance to learn from your mistakes and correct them accordingly. Definitely a worthwhile professor to have had.

Annoyingly few assignments. Applying topics is intentionally left up to the student. Gotta go to class. So few grades that small errors cost you, but allows resubmissions. HW oriented, easy exams. Course attempts to instill a necessary way of thinking for soft. Engs. Some will understand, some won't. If it's right for u, u will grasp the concepts.

Learned absolutely nothing. There was no way to practice what was taught in class. Homeworks were easy and took like 10 minutes each. There was no structure to the class. The exam did not test your capability of programming as taught in the class, they were just opinion questions which is stupid. I learned more in my high school comp sci classes.

I didn't get much out of his class -- the lectures weren't very useful, and he only gave us 2 real homeworks all semester. However, he is very knowledgeable and the class is not difficult.

Gave us 3 incredibly tough homeworks for the entire semester but gave us the option to resubmit if we didn't like the grade we got on it. The midterm was 3 questions and the final was 2 opinion questions. If my rating was based on how easy to get an A I would give him a 5 but he causes so much stress I had to give him a 3.

He is extremely knowledgeable. So much so that he speeds so quickly through all of the lectures that he really can't explain some topics well to sophomores. He is extremely intimidating because his answers to questions are condescending and often does not answer them. You must attend every single lecture because there are no notes posted.

Very knowledgeable and is easy to understand. Attending lecture is not mandatory (he doesn't take attendance) but you will fail this class if you don't. Tests are open-notes & are extremely easy if you take good notes. Homeworks can be tricky but are not too frequent and are certainly doable.

Very knowledgeable with things that apply to after college. Fantastic teacher and will help out if you need it. He will learn everyone's name in a class of 50. I would highly recommend taking him.

I liked him, but he can be a bit abrasive at times. Don't bother buying the book.

He learns the names of the 60+ people in the class and is very helpful when you ask. All of his tests were open book and open note, very easy. About 40% of it were your opinions of the class so far and what you want to still learn. Also showed cool video clips in class. Don't have to take final if you have an A in the class. Highly recommend.
