Clear and knowledgeable. Gives good examples, reviews previous lecture before every class, and knows exactly where people are likely to find difficulty. Cares for her students and makes everyone laugh with her jokes.

Good instructor. Notes are clear, and the lectures are helpful if you keep up with your readings. Welcome to university kids, your professors don't "teach" you anymore, they "help you learn". So get a textbook, read it once in a while, play with your molecular model kit, and do the practice problems. Orgo isn't that bad if you pull your weight.

She is a good proff that does her best and cares about the students. She would be must more appreciated in a smaller lecture theater. She doesn't have the voice to fill the auditorum. She make orgo all that much better!

Organic Chemistry is outright challenging for many students and Tilk feels no pity for those who are too lazy to do their homework. Exam questions are fair --"right from ze homework"-- and Tilk chooses some great TA's who help clarify concepts in tutorials. Work hard and reward you she will, if not, visit her during office hours to ask why not.

Its only a hard course if you are too lazy or busy to keep up with the work load. Exams were almost entirely from assigned homework. And Tilk is a lovely creature. If you put the effort in, its not so bad... unless you are 110% retarded.

All of you people trashing her are probably just chumps who couldn't get a decent mark in orgo and are now blaming the prof for your own stupidity. Quit whining about how hard she is and actually do some work you lazy jerks. She puts a ton of effort into the class, including offering to do extra sessions on Saturdays! Stop complaining.

Tilk is so bad and tough. She doesn't care about students. She keeps asking TAs to lower students' lab marks no matter how well students do. Her exams are very hard. I was one of her TAs...

Decent teacher, was not very nice to people asking 'dumb' questions. Very nasty about lab rules (i.e. kicked out of 'safety lab' in first week for wearing sandals - when i went into another lab, 3 or 4 people were wearing sandals and they did not get kicked out). T.A.s are on a wicked power trip - beware!

Very unhelpful, always tells u u're going to fail. Has no patience for questions, especially if u're not a top student. Scaryly strict about lab rules. Notes are almost non-existent and u're always trying to scribble down what she's saying/ writing. So many example detract from the meaning of her lectures. Make sure you get enough sleep b4 class

chem is really hard, but she does her best to help. If you dont have to take 282 i dont recommend it, take bio 234 or whatever because crudden is horrible. Tilk is great, learn as much as you can in her lectures!

Appearances are deceiving! NEVER go ask her a question alone...you should bring friends/fellow classmates for moral support...especially when she starts yelling at you and telling you your stupid.

Awesome prof, keeps students engaged. course was extremely organized (lecture notes followed the text book well). Lots of homework but exam and midterm were fair. Some of the lab TA's were not so good: randomly knocks off marks in performance.

I love Tilk! She's such a nice lady and she's so cute! The fall course wasn't as bad as everyone says, it's just as difficult as any other life sci course. Tilk is very helpful, very approachable, and extremely sweet. I wish she could teach 282...

This course is really hard, but she tries really hard to make understandable, and has the cutest polish accent! :) She reminds me of my grandma, but she knows a little more chemistry.. :P (very hard, but there are lots of tutorial help sessions!)
