This class was one of my worst and most frustrating overall academic experiences. Long, tedious and repetitive assignments riddled with poor and or confusing instructions. Very disorganized course with messy execution. Professor provides minimal interaction and grades are usually delayed. Definitely doable, but stay away if you can.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. SUPER LENGTHY ASSIGNMENTS WITH MULTIPLE PARTS AND THEY TAKE FOREVER. I HAD TO QUIT MY FULL-TIME JOB JUST TO MAKE TIME TO FINISH HIS OUTLANDISHLY LARGE ASSIGNMENTS. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PROFESSOR IF YOU CAN.

He gives out 6 Assignments for the class and don't think to yourself only 6 assignments wow that's easy. NOPE, the longest 6 Assignments you will ever have and I guarantee it. And each assignment has at least 2 parts to it. Please do not take this professor if you do not absolutely have to. I promise you that you will regret taking his class.

Do not I repeat DO NOT TAKE this class. One of the worst experiences ever. He will never admit his mistake has excuses ready anytime. All he talks is he has bunch of things to do, won't respond to emails/calls. First day of class received an invite 40 minutes before. Lots of homework. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE TIME TAKING THIS PERSONS ANY CLASSES!

So here is what I would say about Packy. He, himself an awesome guy with a ton of knowledge and connections, he was always available to skype and would help me whenever. However, his assignments are extremely long. If you get ahead start and focus you will be fine. He just wants to see you make an attempt.

Let me start this by saying we had to move online due to covid-19. He didn't contact us about the course schedule, or anything until about 4 weeks after we shifted to online. His novels of homework contain numerous errors and dead links. Constantly brags/complains about teaching multiple classes, and finds almost any excuse to bring it up. Take? NO

He sent one email in first week of class then refused, correct word, to discuss anything the rest of the class. Impossible to contact, refuses to answer phone, will not answer emails. I turned him into his boss after the class for lack of teaching but nothing can be done because he's been at RMU Too long and is protected. Problem with Professors

In short I had to quit my full time job to make time to take his class. The amount of homework is actually cartoon levels and shouldn't even be possible. You will be dedicating all of your free time to his class. If you already started your career it's time to quit so you can take his class. I would say avoid at all costs, but it's not possible.

As others say, having Packy for a class is a rite of passage at RMU. Excellent professor and gives out legendary large assignments. Those assignments will make you learn and help retain knowledge (at least it did for me). Just work hard, stay on top it it, and youll be fine

Packy is notorious for his insane assignments. However, for A+, he only requires you to complete Testout (which is still 13 chapters of work) and his 4 exams with 2 parts each (which take about 2 hours per part). Aside from that, you have to take 3 certification tests which all count towards your grade. A lot of work but possible to do well.

If the mark of a great professor is how much work they give you then Packy is one of the best professors. If it is how much you actually learn then he is the worst professor and shouldn't even be employed. Seven 200+ page word documents for homework. Have fun trying to decipher his instructions since he is illiterate. How does he still have a job?

You are in for the fight of your life when taking his class. Multiple 100+ page assignments are due every couple of weeks and the work is more than all of my other classes combined. Good luck keeping a job or social life while having a packy class. I will probably get a passing grade, but at what cost? I don't recommend taking his class at all.

This good rating does not mean the class is easy. Packy will take your easy A classes and shove them down your throat, and tell you he'll do as much with a smile on his face. However, if you want to actually learn and better yourself, you aren't going to find a better prof to learn from and question about the material and life in general.

The structure for Packy's Online classes include: watch hours of video content linked from other universities, some hard to understand, fill in multiple 60 page documents, then take a test that is usually timed around four hours and has 300 questions. If this is your type of class go for it, although I expect more from an institution like RMU.

As long as you show him you care and dont procrastinate he will show you grace. its a tone of reading but you do learn a lot from the hands on and i thought it was interesting to do. If you take the time to know him and show him that you care about the class you'll do fine. he might seem terrible but give it some time and you might like him.
