Comment:
I liked Adamcyzk's class. He can be dry, but he explains the material thoroughly and his notes that he gives to you on blackboard are usually pretty straightforward. I honestly thought 314 was easier than 214. His grading scale is a godsend too. Its GPA style where he grades each question on a 4 point scale. So a 2.0 / 4.0 is a 73% and not 50%.

Graded with three exams and lab, each worth 25%. He doesn't give homework and lectures are a lot of derivations, with no real examples aside from the class period before an exam. This can be tough, but he is very thorough with lectures, so find practice problems and you'll be fine. He is a fair grader, but not the most approachable person.

Took him for 214. His lectures do a good job of explaining concepts, but with no real worked examples. Do the homework, then do it again, and you'll be fine. Try to understand concepts because what shows up on tests is different than homework. Smart guy, good lectures.

Professor Adamcyzk's lectures are mainly just doing examples of problems of the topics. He can be very intimidating to talk to but also helpful. Go to office hours if you need help. Attend class and write down examples since exam problems are very similar.

Pretty simple course content but he did not make significantly contribute to my learning. Very straight forward. Very Intelligent. He always looks angry but is actually quite funny. He is tricky on exams and will test your knowledge on the material. Helpful in office hours.

This guy is terrible. Very condescending and flat out disrespectful to some students. I once counted the times he said "obvious" in class, the total was 35. Given, the material is not difficult, but almost every question is a stupid one to him. Puts stuff on exams that he never goes over in class or even talks about, definitely avoid.

Useless in class, hard to undestand, thinks highly of himself like the rest of the useless engineering faculty at GVSU...if you dont suck to him, you might as well drop out.

very good at teaching in class, uses multiple examples. Make you feel like a moron if you ask him questions. Gives no partial credit on exams. He does a very good job teaching the material, and you will learn a lot if you go to class and do the homework but because of the way he grades you still may fail even if you understand all of the material

Decent professor who knows the material well. Explains things from multiple angles, but sometimes gets confusing when constantly erasing and redrawing parts of the circuit. Grades really hard on exams which are the majority of your grade. I would still much rather have him over some of the other 214 teachers.

Dr. Adamczyk has a very thorough and practical understanding of the concepts taught, and explains things clearly. When a student doesn't understand, he tries to explain it another way. I suspect that those who rate him poorly expect the professor to do the learning for them.

after several classes with Adamczyk I safely say that he would be the coolest prof to have a beer with. He is an effective teacher who knows his material, he can be judgmental and play favorites but ultimately his judgments are valid. He has a bizarre sense of humor but it helps keep the very intense material interesting.

Coming from a mechanical student who doesn't think electrical courses are a waste, he is an excellent professor. Doesn't use the book for much other than homework, but the notes are clear and concise and are supported by the text. He is a fair teacher, do the work, study the notes and get in extra practice and their's no problem.

Content that is tought is clear but the concepts need to be practiced in order for them to sink in. very good teacher other than the fact that "you can do everything anyway you want"

he is very confusing some times. he rarely works problems out completely, and he skips steps. don't ask a stupid question or he will point out just how stupid it was.

Comment:
Tough course. Tests are somewhat difficult and the book sucks. I suggest getting some other type of reference book to do problems. He is very great during office hours, but during class he doesn't help much. Is available to help almost all the time and is very willing. I would take him again.
