Heidi gives great lectures. She made a dry subject actually very interesting. There was 3 tests I believe so you have to study hard.

She is a great lady, I like her as a person but I really don't like her class. If you don't like reading and memorizing sculptures and paintings and only get graded on like 4 tests then don't take this class. I couldn't listen to her lecture because she talks on and on and I can't really take anything in.

Heidi is extremely knowledgable and is always excited to pass her knowledge on to us. She has high expectations for class discussions, but for a good reason. While many believe art history is boring, she makes it fascinating and enjoyable

Her lectures are long and tedious and because you are only graded on your 2 or 3 tests if you don't memorize every single detail of each piece you won't do well in her class

This professor knows her stuff, which is great. However it is not as structured and organized as other art history courses. There is no extra credit, one paper and 2 exams. You got to be present and get the book if not you will fail or do external research on the topics. Also there were no review sessions for my class....

Heidi is very passionate about what she does and makes it very easy to be a little more interested in a class that you might otherwise fall asleep in. While you may be sleepy, you need to take notes if you want to pass. The only grades in her Art History class are quizzes so go to the review session and refresh and you'll be fine.

Art history is a dry subject but Heidi makes it pretty interesting. Heidi is very open to answering questions and is willing to help you if you need it. She is caring and predictable (scheduled and doesn't slack off). She also clearly knows what she is lecturing about. The class is very straightforward. It's only 3 tests.

Nobody should expect any class is an "easy A" at RIT. If you do, you're at the wrong school. Art History was my most challenging class. I head to read and reread every page and still had trouble on the tests. She had all multiple choice answers which was great, and the reason I chose her class. Pay attention, take notes, and READ. It's tough!

Heidi's class is all lecture based-she puts up the photo of the artwork and talks about it. You have to pay attention a lot in her class, or else you'll prob fail. Grades on three tests w/ optional extra credit. I listen so its not too bad for me.

The information she tests on is reasonably straightforward, but you have to learn the textbook and lecture material pretty damn well; be ready to work for it if you want an A. Take as many lecture notes as possibly you can - you'll need them. Definitely wouldn't take her if you're not interested in art history or you're just looking for an easy A.

A great professor who cares about what she does. If you need hep she'll be there for you. The course was a little bit book heavy-readings every class for homework, flash cards were a huge help. Exams had the potential to be very difficult or very easy, depending on how well you payed attention and studied. AH is difficult for me & she made it easy

I think I fell asleep every time I had her class. Sure, you can pretty much not read and do fairly well, but she just drones on and on and it's not very exciting. Least favorite.

She knows what she talks about, and she's strict on assignments and tests. You must know the names, years, and basic info about paintings. Her lectures are pretty boring, and it's hard to stay awake entire time.

Throughout this course we only had 3 exams, and those were the only 3 grades. Seems to be lazy, strictly lectures, and tests are on scantrons, and does't put grades on mycourses. Hardest class ever, especially for someone who isn't an art major and has no interest in art

Very tough class. She might be a good teacher, but her lectures are boring. There are a lots of stuff to memorize for the test, but there test contents are not even have of them. Strict class policies. Definitely not a easy A class for me.

Heidi, while kind of boring, was a good teacher. The reason I say she is boring is that she talks more about history than art in class. Therefore, I would say it is beneficial to skim over the book before the test. Also, the tests were super easy if you just payed attention/read the book. Everything was very straightforward in her class.

Cannot express how disappointed I am that RIT has this professor teaching a freshman level course. Heidi is a very intelligent individual and a nice person to be around, but the fact is that she is a terrible teacher. The content that she goes over in class is almost never relevant to her overly extensive exams which are 30% each. Very dissatisfied

Lectures all class, pay attention to get notes to study for tests. Also, do the readings, helps to get more info. Study the dates and history of the time period not just the art
