Comment:
Amber Brown is a HORRIBLE professor. She seems very knowledgeable about economics, but has no idea how to teach it or give tests/homework on it. DO NOT TAKE HER FOR SPORTS ECON. Basically the whole class is based on a Fantasy Football Project (nothing to do with economics) and since I dont know much about football I got a D+ in her class. :(

I really liked her. The course was tough, but she's a very fair professor. Do your HW, and ask questions and you have no reason to not get a solid grade. She's a very cool lady! Would Recommend her.

She's nice but the homework assignments you have to teach yourself. Then she grades them like my middle school teachers did by marking off points for not using complete sentences and for using "it." She made the class harder than it should be

I felt she was a very good professor. If you go to class and do the homework like you're supposed to, it's easy to get a good grade. She is very nice and is always willing to help.

The worst professor I have had so far at GVSU. The homework assignments are insanely hard, she teaches the information after you have turned in the homework. She talks to her students in an INTRO course as if we should already know the information. Nothing is explained in the way a 200 level course should. I would never recommend her to anyone.

She already assumes you know everything and what she is talking about. She gives you hw about material that she has not taught you yet and expects you to know it. Once the hw is turned in she teaches you.

Brutal. Must have sufficient prior knowledge in the economics of sports if you want to do well. She doesn't explain anything. Homework assignments are extensive compared to most. Buddy took same class with a different prof and he said it was the easiest class. I'd avoid her if you can.

Honestly, this class was so boring...She marks you down on homework for no reason, i believe she is afraid to give an 'A'. Her class always just seemed to unorganized, and she just would hand out candy and new paper articles... Don't Email her- she will never respond.

I really liked this class. In the beginning of the semester she lets you decide how to weight the class. I recommend having your homework worth a lot. She is always available to help you with homework and basically does it for you if you ask her about it.

She is knowledgeable on sports economics and is passionate about it. Sometimes class can seem unorganized, though. She is fair and helpful and in the end you realize that the meandering during the semester comes to a head. In retrospect, she's a good prof and it's an enjoyable class.
