Honestly one of my least favorite classes that I have ever taken. He doesn't know what he is talking about, is unclear, untrustworthy, and uninspiring. I wish I never took his class. He is all over the place and discourages people from going into psychology, even though that is what he teaches. Don't take a psych class with him. I hated his class.

Groth is literally the worst. 0/10 would recommend. He's like when Halloweentown turns grey. Just talks at you for the entire class. His way or the highway. If you have any desire to take this music therapy course, or any course with Groth, think again.

Had him for psychopathology which is apparently very different from any other courses. Had a midterm and a final. you take A LOT of notes just based off his lectures, but the material is incredibly interesting. He loves questions and participation. tests are multiple choice and matching, very long but not that difficult.

You have to work for an A. Midterm 100 questions. Final 200 questions. Write down everything he says. Lectures have the potential of being interesting but he's monotone and can be boring sometimes. I would recommend him however. The class isn't that difficult, study and you'll be fine. I'll take him again.

Incredible. Yes, he is not your standard "professor" who will teach to the test and require simple obedience. Groth is one of the pillars of Wagner, upholding true academia and furthering critical and philosophical thinking in those that are interested. If you are not interested, he won't force you, but if you show interest, he is magical!

Horrible class. Avoid this teacher if possible. Super boring, couldn't even hear him. Tells you whats on the midterm/final, but its totally different. NO extra credit available, even when asked!

One of the best professors Wagner College has ever had. Knows his stuff, and has a such a wide range of knowledge of the many different aspects of Psychology. He does not play favorites with students, and does not indoctrinate students on one facet of Psychology. Very helpful if you visit his office, and really cares about your grades/well-being

I took this course b/c it was on Principles of Counseling. Prior to the course I loved the idea of entering that field. After this class, Dr. Groth completely changed my mindset & I sadly want nothing to do with the subject because of him. He is boring, confusing, & unapproachable. He does not return things & you don't know how you're doing.

I am so grateful i was able to take so many classes with him. He is inspirational. He is strikingly brilliant, but he is not intimidating...and this combination is rare and magnificent. He assigns a significant amount of work, but I was more than happy to do every single assignment. The truly intellectual students are mesmerized by him.

One of the hardest classes I have ever taken mainly because Groth is so unclear and unorganized. I felt like I had to teach myself the most pointless information. Mono tone voice. Extremely boring and difficult.

This professor took an interesting course and made it boring. I was so looking forward to taking this course, but, somehow, he managed to make it dull. Also, don't trust what he tells you will be on the final. Everything is fair game.

Amazing man! He teaches so clearly that you have to understand. I'm not very organized but my notes from his class looked like an outline. His tests are very straight forward with no surprises. Take his class! He is one of my absolute favorite professors!

Dr. Groth is one of the few professors left with a true vision of what academia should be. A true renaissance man, Groth is knowledgeable in a little bit of anything you would like to talk about. Knows more info about psychology than I know about everything I know about. Great thing about him is his willingness to entertain any idea for discussion

I LOVE THIS GUY....has to be the only class I'm actually EXCITED to go to...he teaches interesting courses..I'm on my second with him, and ancitipating next semester for my 3rd. It's great to watch him teach with his eyes closed...but he's really great, makes jokes....and I'm not even a Psych major!

I wish there was an extra happy smiley face for Dr. Groth. You come out of his classes feeling fulfilled and enriched. The Man (capitalized because he is the MAN) will help you out with anything, answers emails within hours if not minutes, and is a pleasure to learn from. All around excellent and interesting person and an example for all.
