Professor Dwyer is intimidating but ultimately wants to help her students succeed. Shes passionate about chemistry, and she loves discussion. Super big on participation. Shes pretty available to help, and she encourages group collaboration. Spent a lot of outside time on this class. Be extremely thorough and neat for most points. Id take again!

I wanted to like Dwyer, but she is way too focused on cheating its annoying. Rushes lecture, and has no mercy. Claims she is nice and wants to help, but seemed annoyed w students in office hours and reviews. Annoying group projects too, grade depends on google forms and you'll get a 50% if you forget (like??). IYKYK :( Was confused every class.

The lecture-style she gives does not emphasize the important concepts she will put on the test so it is very unfair to her students. She expects you to learn more from mastering chemistry than from her. FINALLY, if you have a good memory she loves to accuse her students of cheating. Especially if you use online sources (despite needing them)

She is a very kind, enthusiastic, and knowledgable professor. You will be buried in HW and introduced to new material down to the last 10 seconds of class (IYKYK). In a nutshell, lectures fast, rushes examples, and then moves on to new stuff immediately. I think she's excellent for those with some chem background, but otherwise it's a coin toss.

(CHEM 152 not 151). She moves really fast in lectures but she always spends time doing lots of examples. Also gives typed out notes and practice problems for everything, but don't rely on that for all your notes. Allows test corrections which saved a lot of people in my class. She expects a lot, but really helps you understand on a deeper level.

Dr. Dwyer is a fantastic professor. She moves really fast, but she has to in order to cover everything you have to know to succeed. Her class might seem really challenging at first, but try to keep up with her pace/visit her office hours to help yourself out

Dr. Dwyer has to be the sweetest professor ever. She wants to help you succeed and only give you the best. Chemistry is a hard subject and she helps you break it down with no judgement. She is so smart and will take extra class time to slow down and work extra problems if the class needs it. You won't regret taking her class.

Straight to the point and very knowledgeable. Quick-paced but thorough and exams can be quite difficult (there are test corrections). I would highly consider her if you really want to learn chem well but with some rigor.

Dr Dwyer can be fast paced and definitely expects you to work hard, but you will learn a lot. If you study hard and put effort into the homework, you will do well on the tests. I feel super prepared for O-Chem after her Gen chem class.

Difficult exams, but not a super harsh grader. Her lectures are very hard to follow because she talks quickly and often contradicts herself. Was not approachable outside of class.

Dr. Dwyer is a great professor. The material is challenging but she is very willing to help you in office hours and by appointment. The exams are very difficult so don't wait till the last minute to study or you won't get the grade you want.

She is a really nice person but she is also really smart and doesn't always understand why people don't get the material. Her class is really fast paced and she can often make students feel bad for not understanding a concept. She is great in office hours though. I wasn't a chem major and hadn't taken AP chem, so that class was difficult for me

Dr. Dwyer is a gem, sweet and smart lady willing to help every student out. Class was super easy, just reading short articles every week and discussions during class of really interesting bio/chem research. It was tough to do the final research proposal because other members of my group did not like the amount of work to put in for 1.5 unit course

I took this class the first time Dr. Dwyer taught the new adjusted class, and the class didn't seem to have much purpose for jr/sr students. Dwyer made the class interesting with up-to-date articles. The major project is to write a research proposal with a group. The groups were formed together based off of a homework assignment responses.

Dwyer gets very excited to teach and connect with students! The hardest part of her class were the tests and problem sets because she was looking for very specific answers. I felt like I had to read her mind sometimes. She is pretty intimating but she's also a very very smart woman.
