Awesome professor. Lectures tend to drone on but her knowledge of the material is amazing. If you're struggling, she's extremely helpful in and out of class and always fun to talk to. Work-load is fairly light and not too challenging. READ THE BOOK YOU WILL NEED IT. Posts all Powerpoints and material on Blackboard and is organized. Great choice.

Professor Pomerory is one of the best teachers I've had at Stockton. She really cares about her students and helps whenever you are struggling. She even helped us with preceptor advising and showed us how to pick classes.

Responding to a comment that Dr. Pomeroy is "so beyond left politically" and that "shell sic probably drop your grade if you disagree with her views." I had her in 1995. I was and remain a very conservative Republican. Argued with her EVERY CLASS and got an A. Very far left, but so open to reasonable debate. The model philosophy professor.

Kind, passionate, and knowledgeable! Prepares lectures and uses the whiteboard instead of reading from slides. Posts handouts online that summarize in-class notes. Midterm and final exam have short-answer and essay questions. Five short writing assignments and a final paper. Reviews material at the beginning of each class. Very thorough feedback.

I sat on my phone the entire class. I would possibly take her again mainly because she is easy. But I took her for my political and social philosophy and she is so blind to common knowledge politics and is so beyond left politically. So just sit and let her ramble because other wise shell probably drop your grade if you disagree with her views.

Pomeroy is a giant, loveable goofball. The material is tough but she spends so much time reiterating that the material sticks with you. The only downside is the tests are short answer but the questions she gives are fairly easy if youve paid attention to her lectures and studied. 10/10 would recommend

Professor Pomeroy is one of the best and kindest professors I've had so far at Stockton. She will go out of her way to help you if you can't understand something. My only complaint is that all of her tests are short answer and that much of your grade relies on how well you do on them, which can be an issue if you can't remember everything.

It was hard to pick just three tags. She's all of the qualities you'd want from a good teacher. Hilarious, caring, and goes out of her way to make sure you connect with the material. You'll enjoy any class of hers, and find you won't be able to unlearn what she's taught.

I think professor Pomeroy really is great at opening her student's mind to the world. My only problem with her is that she's a tough grader. I spent 4 hours critiquing one of the essays that she assigned to us so that it was perfect for liking and i still didn't do that well. This course caused unnecessary stress for me.

Anne Pomeroy is an amazing professor and the sweetest woman. However, I wish I took her for a different class. Although philosophy interests me, I did not enjoy this class. The material is confusing and hard to grasp. If you're looking for an easy g course, this is not the class. Only take if interested and willing to do the reading and work.

Brilliant professor! I wasn't sure exactly how much I'd be into the old philosophy (more interest in modern philosophy) but she made it really clear and vibrant. Comes up with efficient examples, gives great lectures with mini-reviews at the start of each to remind everyone of what happened last class, and accurate study guides. Friendly and warm!

Anne Pomeroy is absolutely the best professor at Stockton. She takes what could be an extrememly ughy/difficult subject and makes it pleasant and interesting. She is kind, approachable, and fair, and has a nifty sense of humor. Her ratings speak for themselves-take her if you get a chance, you won't be sorry!
