Get ready to teach yourself and sleep during his lecture. All he ever does is talk about himself. I could probably write an biography about the man's life since I know so much about it. However, if you follow the study guide he gives in class for the test, you'll pass. The class is an easy A. He's a nice guy but doesn't teach you a whole lot.

Get ready to zone out for one hour and fifteen minutes. Layman doesn't know when to stop talking. He tries to relate the topics to his life and gets easily sidetracked. One minute he'lol be talking about his job at the liquor store when he was 18, 12 minutes later you'll be talking about his rescue cats. Read the book and follow his outline.

He talks about his life a lot, but everything on the test is out on the board and if you know it you'll pass, there is no way someone can fail this class.

This class was fairly interesting, his lectures can be a little confusing at times but just got to stick with it and ask questions. He likes to use real life experiences to illustrate a topic and how it works. A huge help is to READ THE BOOK, he gets most of his test questions right out of the book. If you do this an A is easily obtained.

If you can get though listening to his life story you will do fine. Does nothing but talk about his person life and tries to relate it back to the topic (which he will forget what it is and keep talking on and on). Very rude to students. If at all possible do not take him. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

This teacher is really helpful if you stay after class to ask him questions you need answered, always opportunities for extra credit, talks a lot about his life during class, but he tries to relate it to the topics in the book sometimes if you pay attention to what he is saying. Easy A class if you read your textbook and use the study guide.

Very easy class. Tests are multiple choice and questions come directly from the book. He tells you exactly what will be on the tests, and he grades tests and gives you your grade before class is over (at least if you take the night class). He talks a lot about things that have nothing to do with class, but it's just how he is. He's nice.

God he's hot. He makes a strong effort to keep test grades private, which I appreciate. Tardiness really annoys him. He gets easily side-tracked in class, but he does review the test material. He seems baffled that folks don't do well on his exams when he literally goes over EVERY question in class. Honestly I too am amazed that people fail..

This class was hard for me. His lectures are nothing but storys from his life, he goes extremely off topic. You're on your own to learn for the tests. he'll start a brief review of the material the day before...If his tests consisted of questions about his life and past relationships, I would of got straight 100%'s on all of them!

He was the worst teacher I've had. All he talks about is him him him. Does not go over material. Does not teach anything. If we got tested on Rick Laymans life though everyone would pass. Helps to be a female as he gives them more lee way. Horrible teacher.

He's a nice guy, but that's about it! If you want to learn something about the subject, then don't take his class. If you just want to sit in a class and share stories everyday, then this class is perfect for you! You WILL have class the full amount of time and class is hardly ever cancelled. The tests aren't bad if you look over the study guides!

This class should have been titled "Rick Layman's Life Stories"! Wow was it awful and boring....he only talks about his life, never about the materials he needs to!
