Dr. Chirico.. Great in all aspects of teaching, knowledgeable, has a great sense of humor, class discussions are enjoyable and an effective way of learning in-class, not a single test just journal entries, grading is upon effort and participation in discussions, cares greatly about his students, provides awesome advice on a personal level as well

He is super smart and it is interesting to hear him speak. He class is very upfront and he tells you exactly how to get an A in the class. He also says that papers that are longer then 2-3 pages aren't good after the 3rd page so he doesn't make you write more then 3 pages all year. Journals everyday are pretty hard tho.

Coolest professor I've ever had hands down throughout 3 years at Broome. Down to earth guy, hilarious, and most important relatable topics to life so you don't get bored during lecture. He will tell you that he doesn't know how he gets good reviews on here but don't let him fool you. you should totally take his class!

By far the best professor at Broome. His classes are so interesting where you look forward to workshop every week. The way in which he could connect to each person in class individually and build a unique relationship with every person is astonishing. As long as you do your one paper a day the class is a breeze. You won't regret taking this class.

His creative writing class is entirely student led and will leave you craving another class with him the moment its over. I went in hungover I liked it so much haha.

A good Professor and an overall excellent person to be around. Class is laid-back and discussion-based, so stress levels are mostly low. Some of the work can be tedious, but it certainly isn't impossible by any means. Books were generally interesting as well.

Dr. Chirico is one of the best teachers i've had. You learn a lot from him about yourself and the world we live in. I highly recommend his class. Their is a fair amount of reading but everything you do doesn't seem like traditional school work. You actually take things away and apply it to your everyday life.

Chirico is a great professor. I always loved coming to his classes and he really makes you think in a way you may not be used to. He's very philosophical, and it's not uncommon for him to blow your mind every class. The stuff he says is really cool and interesting, would recommend him to any student.

If you have the chance to take creative writing with him you should take it. You will learn more about yourself and life from him than from the rest of your school experience combined. Phenomenal professor and phenomenal human being. You will not regret it and he will be there for you for the rest of your life.

I absolutely love this professor, he is openly blunt, he makes you laugh on those rough days. He cares about his students,he wants you to learn what will expand your mind and make you really think outside of the box. Granted I really thought he was born from another planet but come to find out he is just very genuine, authentic and awesome.

I wouldn't recommend taking this class. I haven't learned one thing about communicating about ideas and values. Instead we take about Buddhist philosophy which is way over my head. Don't get me wrong the teacher seems very smart, I just wish I could have learned something meaningful for me and my career choice.

Dr. Chirico was my advisor and professor, and he is extremely intelligent. Beware, though: any class you take with him will not be "traditional." He gives you concepts and you have to wrap your head around them. He's a little bit different, but once you get used to his style you can learn so much. He expects quality writing but is a fair grader.

He really shines in creative writing classes. I'm taking his American lit course, DO the reading and be ready to talk. I'm in that course right now and I never would have realized there was so much to Melville's whale book. It's a blast, but stay on your feet our your brain will fry from overdosing on his insights into it. He knows his stuff.
