Comment:
Park Lee is very lecture heavy and uses five assignments to determine the entire grade. However, her lectures cover all of the material with adequate examples and thought provoking commentary, and the exams include only content covered in lecture, although the concepts may be presented with a twist. Tough A, but doable if you focus and study hard.

Very enjoyable multivariable calculus class. If you read the textbook ahead of time and pay attention to class, it is very possible to do well in this class. Allotted time for tests and finals were very reasonable. Lectures were engaging and I didn't have to review too much for tests.

Lee is the professor who made me quit my math major. I got an A in all of my foothill math courses and was competent, however, park lee falsely accused me of cheating and was condescending and uncooperative. I needed to put in an unofficial transcript for a school I wanted to transfer to but she refused to give the school midterm reports.

If you're confident with your math ability, take her. It's not a breeze but as long as you show up and figure out what specific things she's looking for it's not bad at all. She's picky but she does articulate what she's looking for in class. She can come off as condescending and treat students like children but that's just her teaching style.

She is a moody old lady. She made mistakes making up the exams(Knowledge Checks). I asked her if it's a typo in a private message. She ignores my message. And later in the public meeting, she said to the whole class that this is an open question instead of admitting mistakes. She will punish you by taking off points in your exam if you skip class

There is no graded assignment except for knowledge checks, which makes things stressful. Does not explain things very well but it might be an online learning thing.

This class is graded only by Chapter Knowledge Check (5 exams + final). My first test is 8/15 because of one careless mistake and the rest of my exams are all over 90%, but I only get a B (this is my only B in my all-A transcript). QWQ There is no extra credit other than the syllabus quiz and self-introduction. She is not negotiable.

I love her class. All the tests are all based on her own lecture notes( sometimes as easy as changing numbers, other times it would give you a twist in concepts)Definitions Important!!!The textbook problem is there to help you familiarize with problems/concepts. It does help! A UCB friend said her class made life easier in future engineer classes.

She doesn't finish the example question in class so you dont know how to do them in tests the way she wanted, and she grades in her very weird way, I had all the answer correct and I get C. Shes not articulate, talks repetitively and aimlessly, with a f ed accent, just dont know what shes saying. My absolute nightmare.

Park Lee teaches the hardest math courses at Foothill so you're basically walking into a brick wall if you're not prepared. While she is a very tough grader (answers matter less than the actual work), nearly every problem in her homework and final is explained through her lectures. Watch the lectures, understand them, and you'll get an A.

10/10 would recommend. Little work to do well on tests. Easy A but I still feel I learned a lot. She is friendly and warm. Tests are based on homework so nothing unexpected. Overall a pleasant experience. Thank you Park Lee!

Read the material before class, participate, review the lecture notes after class. Try to actually learn the concepts (don't just copy the notes). I actually enjoyed lecture, but I can see how some students can be offput by her because she could be intimidating and condescending (but she does this to do reinforce certain behaviors like pre-reading)

TBH her lectures aren't so neat, they're all over the place. As if the material isn't already confusing, her lecture notes make it even more daunting. I recommend watching James Hamblin's lectures on YouTube and really understand the topics before the knowledge check. Her teaching style wasn't my fav, but I ended up with an A so I'll give her that.

Professor Park Lee is one of the best math professors I have ever had. I just don't understand why there are so many bad reviews about her here. She teaches in a way that you have to preview the materials first before attending the lecture and her lecture further deepens your understanding of a specific topic. Would definitely miss her<3

Takes off points even when your explanation is word for word from her lecture notes. Refuses to give points back or even EXPLAIN why the points was docked off. Makes you feel dumb for asking any question and cut you off before every sentence in office hour. Vague af during lecture but expects us to have a deep understanding for the quizzes.

I didn't learn much taking her class, it was a waste of money. She grades so hard and never gives a clear reason as to why she's taking off points. As other people have said, even if you get the answer correct, she'll still take off points. Not just a few either, sometimes up to 50%. Strongly recommend you find someone else, don't take her.

DO NOT TAKE HER. She will drop your GPA. I learned close to nothing from attending the lectures. She's super mean and haunty during her office hours, she always acts like "I already taught that, I guess you're dumb. Why should I go over this again?!" She takes off points without explanation, even when the answer is correct. Don't do it.
