She ate chalk in the middle of class, and would fall asleep randomly during lectures. She is a hard grader and makes the lectures boring and calls students out for not understanding material

Do not take her. I did not like this teacher at all. Very hard grader on tests. Is awkward in class. Spaces out like every five sentences. Very boring class but you need to pay attention because she put random stuff on the quizzes that she talked about.

She is really passionate about psychology and she knows a LOT. She is very well traveled as well and often includes personal stories to make concepts more clear, which I find helpful. Shes a little quirky, but that makes the lectures interesting. Quizzes for each chapter, a test after 5 chapters - very doable. She definitely wants us to succeed.

She is absolutely crazy. Unorganized, spaces out, very confusing. Talks about awkward topics in class and makes them even more awkward. She laughs at herself too much and stares you down which is so uncomfortable. Quizzes every other class but she drops the lowest one per exam. Goes through her slides way to fast. Honestly just an awful professor.

Marilyn is CRAZY but it makes the class more entertaining. She gets distracted very easily so the class seems a bit disorganized. There were tons of papers that she makes you read in front of the class, but she always says good things about your paper (even if its horrible). I learned a lot by taking her class!!

There was readings and quizzes every week. The quizzes were fairly easy if you attended her lectures and read most of the readings. The tests were very writing heavy, but she would give extra help to those who needed it. Her lectures were funny and she would try to involve the class sometimes.

Be ready to sit and listen to her lecture for the entire class. Read every chapter because she doesn't talk about them in class. If you are not a fast righter you are gonna want to take pictures of her slides. Will not give her slide shows out. Exams are essay based quizzes every other class.

Professor is very disorganized, goes on long, unrelated tangents, and cannot follow her own schedule. She offers little help inside the classroom, and even less outside. Rather than teaching something new during lectures, she parroted the textbook. Additionally, she is incredibly unprofessional (tardy; makes inappropriate comments about students).

She is the most trustworthy professor I've ever met. She is always there for you if you ask. She expects you to read and if you do read, you will be able to know what she's talking about in class and why she's using certain examples. She gives tests considering different types of learners, so you get to choose the sections you like the most

This professor is very eccentric. She gets off task and does not teach a lot of content in class. You must teach yourself out of the textbook and her exams are HARD. She talks about politics and makes some people feel uncomfortable. I was miserable in her classes. One plus is attendance is not mandatory.

She's one of those "gotcha" professors who tries to trip you up, kind of intimidating, spaces out, laughs maniacally at her own jokes, tries to stare you down during lectures. If you email her to ask for help, she will give you a vague one line response that does not answer your questions and is in no way helpful. Eh, I still got an ok grade though

This professor goes off on wild tangents during lectures and teaches you very little if you somehow manage to maintain focus and listen. You would be better off doing any other option other than taking a course with this professor. I literally taught myself the content out of the book and managed to squeeze by with a b

I think the reason people rate her low is because they are used tp having their hands held. Marilyn expects you to be an adult. Do your homework and show up to class and youll know what shes talking about, even when she is being eccentric. She is tough, but I appreciated her classes because she didn't treat me like a child.

I had her for Sensation and Perception and her style bugged me. When she wasn't standing for five minutes trying to catch her thoughts or coughing, she really knew what she was talking about. She's very intelligent and will definitely make sure you KNOW the material. Her class was VERY hard, but I learned a lot from her.
