I loved the class. The class pattern was very simple and predictable, which makes things a lot easier when every professor has a different stucture of course plan. Great real life examples, students greatly benefit from Dr. Whitworth's professional experience. Easy MCQ tests. I really respect Dr. Withworth. He has two really cute dogs too!

His lectures were boring. All he does is just sit and talk. He doesn't even do Power Points. He gave lots of tests. If you have test anxiety and you go to SAS, he always forgets to bring the test over. I do not recommend taking this class.

I personally love his lectures, especially because he adds some very interesting stories related to what we are studying. Attendance is mandatory because he does give a lot of information during class and has tests very often. The tests are all multiple choice and based on the book. By just reading the book and taking notes, I got A's no problem.

Donald is an interesting man and has a lot of stories to tell which are cool but his tests are brutal and he is a hard grader on top of that. He makes you feel bad if you don't do well on his exams and is constantly reminding you to stop the class if you don't do well on the first test. Almost got my first C in here and it was not worth the trouble

Attendance was mandatory which was ridiculous because most of the material from the lecture was not on the test (tests were weekly and consisted of 2 chapters , multiple choice style) . If it wasnt for reading the book religiously every night and making study guides/ group google dox notes, I (and many others) would've never passed.

lecture teaching style, if you read the book and take notes in every class then you will do good on tests, all multiple choice tests, if you don't study tests are hard

This professor makes the tests extremely difficult. No matter how hard I studied I did not do well. Do not take him unless you like lectures and memorization. His notes do not help with the test and class is just him speaking with no power point.

Exams are extremely unfair. All exams are multiple choice plus several extra credit short answers. Every exam has a number of questions that are either trick questions or have multiple correct answers, and he knows it and will not help you. If you are trying to get an A in this class, do not take it with him.

I took Whitworth when I went to RWU from 1997-2001. Best professor. Am working as a psychologist in prison now. He's the real deal if that's the line of work you want to pursue. If it's offensive, look for a different job. This work is hard. I now have my own stories from prison that would Rick your world!

Had him for theories of personality. He uses his notes from when he took the course in College. He Puts them online for you and the just recites them the whole class long. The tests are absolutely Impossible You have to literally memorize the book and notes cover to cover. Cool chill dude, naht so cool teaching methods.

Hard professor, reads directly off of his notes. Crams way too much information into one test and class is based only off of tests.

If you can, don't take his class. DW overwhelms you with information, and his tests ask for more information that is possible to learn in the amount of time given. I greatly disliked this class. He never answers email either.

I had him for Abnormal Psych last semester. Incredibly knowledgeable about the subject, tells fun stories that may be offensive to some. Out of 45 classes, he let us have at least 10-15 off. Tests are incredibly hard, know the material in and out for an exam. May give take home exams. Great guy, pretty good professor.

Not a bad professor. Willing to be slightly flexible, very comfortable learning atmosphere. Study or fail is basically the way the tests work. Do the work and you should be just fine. Not for the faint of heart, or those easily offended.

I love his stories, they are informative and really show you what it means to be a psychologist. He seems a little unorganized and is completely intimidating, but I think deep down his heart is in the right place. Don't email him, meeting him in his office is scary, and he's a little full of himself but overall he's alright.

Best professor I had at Roger Williams. Might not be your best friend, but this guy is the real deal. If you have a brain and want to use it, he is your guy. An intellectual and an analytical thinker. Great mind to learn from. I wanted to attend his classes. Took as many as I could.
