I loved Dr. Palkovitz and everything he taught, you could tell he was passionate about everything he said. However, if you don't find the material interesting and are just taking for credit, it could be hard to sit through. As long as you apply yourself and listen to what he says in lecture (don't just copy slides!), you will pass no problem.

he is an interesting guy, but the tests kind of killed me. really interesting material. you will have to study a lot because its hard to get a good grade on his tests and not much else goes into your grade.

He is a good guy but talks about himself a lot.3 exams and one is the final,15% of the final is cumulative, one paper. Homework assignments twice a week they're easy but time consuming. The exams are HARD, need to think the way he is in order to do well. I got a B on the first one and a C on the other. Doesnt post slides online, need to go to class

Exams are very difficult that if there was not a curve everyone would fail. Theres 3 exams including the final and homework and one paper that is really easy.

Best man. He is obviously very passionate about his field (particularly family/fatherhood), and his stories always entertained me. For exams, know the PowerPoints and textbook definitions. I thought the exams were fairly straightforward especially if you go to class since he writes them exactly like talks. He does curve!

He thinks he's the next Freud. He literally teaches his opinions and his exams are hard af. Beware nursing majors, I got an A in orgo and could barely pull an A- in this class. The paper and hw will pull u up a lot tho. Study his class notes, things that seem subjective aren't his opinion is always the answer.

The tests definitely are difficult, but the information is generally pretty intuitive- about life and how people behave and change. He does put a good amount of stuff on the test that he says directly in class, so I highly recommend paying attention. Homeworks are easy but annoying to have to do. One of my favorite classes and professors so far.

Terrible and boring teacher. The lectures are very dry and dense. Exams are hard no matter what you study. There is one paper that I thought would save my grade, but he grades that harshly too. Grading is ridiculous and curves do not make any sense. Do yourself a favor and do not take this class unless you want a C.

Be ready for lectures but they're not that boring just a lot of notes. He really cares and puts a lot of time in making sure you learn things you can actually apply to real life. He opens the class up to really interesting conversations and really helps you understand and think about life. I loved this class.

Palkovitz was given a round of applause by the entire lecture hall on the last day of class... you are going to college for classes like this!! This class is more than just a class, its meaninful to life. I cannot advise you enough to take this class! Palkovitzs class consists of a weekly homework/chapter to read, 3 exams, and a paper. AMAZING MAN!

It is impossible to tell how well you are doing in his class because of his curve, but his curve saves your life. Read the textbook chapters from day 1, and maybe his notes. His exams are difficult, but not as difficult if you read the textbook thoroughly. Work with the TA for the paper, and do the homework and you should do well. But he is hard

Dr. Palkovitz is one of my favorite professors at UD. On the first day, he told us his exams would be based on lectures and the textbook - don't take it as a joke. READ THE ENTIRE BOOK (and not just the highlighted parts). It's a lot of work, but your grade will be worth the effort. There's one paper - graded fairly. His lectures are just amazing

He singlehandedly RUINED my senior year. I have developed severe back problems from hunching/stressing while studying for his obscenely long and difficult exams. Exams are 75 multiple choice and final is 100!!!!!!! Literally if you can take with anyone else, I STRONGLY advise. This is an introductory course and he does not treat it like one.

Life span development was a hard class and difficult to get above a B on exams, but I feel like regardless of my grade in the class I learned a lot from Palkovitz that will help me throughout the rest of my life and the course of my college/ professional career. Take this class if you need an extra and don't already have a heavy course load

He's clearly super passionate about the topic but the lectures are pretty brutal to sit through. Some of the material is interesting but he makes his tests WAY too hard for a 200 level class. Absolutely do not take it with him if you have a busy semester because test-prep is time consuming

difficult exams, but not impossible. Theres a paper worth 50 points that is graded nicely and homework assignments that equal an exam grade so get all of those points and you'll be good. Even though it is a difficult class he drops a lot of real life knowledge and i actually left class feeling like i learned something i can apply to my career.

Palkovitz is such an awesome professor! He incorporates a lot of stories about his life and adventures into his lectures and really wants his students to do well. The homework is online, doesn't take too long, and you do them about 2-3 times a week. Exams are tough but the only written assignment is an easy A. He tries to be funny, it's appreciated

Dr. Palkovitz really knows what he's talking about and has a lot of life experience, which is nice. He tries to be funny in class which is kinda painful to sit through. The exams are so much more difficult than they need to be.
