Tests were on the computer aka really easy to get a bad grade just by sig fig mistakes. I passed but not by much would not recommend if you have the choice. For this class 70% off your grade falls under 2 tests.

Great class, did experiments you read about in the previous classes. Hard because you are on your own, the class wants you to try these experiments on your own.

Dr. Baxter is a very good professor. His classes are difficult. It's physics. But the man knows what he is doing, and people who complain are just too stupid and lazy to do the work and to keep up. It'll be tough, but you'll learn.

Two words : Scale - UP. This was a horrible idea. As good as it sounds in theory, that could work for an upper level course, but no the way that he's teaching it. Basically, in this basic physics course, there is no grading rubric, there is no teaching, no examples, and there is no help. You ask a question, you get a question back. Fun times

Good professor, a little disorganized sometimes and doesn't always give enough time, but he really knows the material and enjoys helping students. If you do well in this class you will REALLY know physics.

He teaches his classes with a level of dedication and heart that are unparalleled in my schooling. If you go to him for help he goes so in-depth that you may glance at the time and see that an hour has passed for a simple question. I would recommend him for any course as he teaches it as if it were the first and last of his career.

I don't really know how much to blame on him, cause physics is just a tough subject. The tests were insanely hard and there was way too much homework. Lectures were ok since he used Hall's slides. He was however a nice guy and helped me in his office practically every day. Try to take J Hall for physics instead.

Flies through notes in class, therefore almost impossible to make your own notes. HW was very overboard for a 2 credit class. Tests were fair, although graded papers were not given back til a week or two later. Good overall

Very Hard Tests, too long, nothing like material covered in class. Sloppy notes in lectures, hard to read writing, moves fast. Very late on returning assignments/labs. Gives back 5 labs at once with same errors taken points off for.

Just as bad as Furlan, if not worse. DO NOT take him if at all possible. He makes the class extremely difficult. The average on the final was a 41%.
