Falls behind first week, expect you to still get assignments down even though he's a lecture behind. You practically teach yourself the material. WORST TEACHER EVER!!! I don't even know how he is still a professor!!!

Very confused presentation, no real rules set out as such. It's nice to have free-form discussion of particular cases, but the point is supposed to be that they lead somewhere. This professor is why people hate property law.

Ridiculously harsh policies -- he'll drop you from the class in Week 13 if you blow a format on one of the weekly homeworks. The homeworks are ridiculously time-consuming and useless because you don't get any feedback on them. He picked the single worst textbook I have encountered in law school. Worst of all, I still have no clue about the material

Kind of harsh policies. Nice enough guy but avoids questions. (I have heard this from many other students as well.) An unclear guy for an unclear topic, I guess.

Stay away - that is the best advice I can give you. He doesn't know what's talking about, he's "lecturing" but he talks like he wants to hear himself talk.. Does he know really property law -- no. But he grades so tough. You ask a question, he'll tell you, oh that's a different topic because he doesn't know the answer.

Terrible. He's only a prof to hear himself talk and boast about his intelligence. 2 Weekly 500 word essays AND weekly quizzes - which have to be done to receive the next week's assignment! so no chance of working ahead. What is this, high school?! He talks WAY too fast & is not clear at all. Take everyone else's advice & find another prof!!

Does a LOT of lecturing which is a nice change of pace. Very little socratic, but you do have LONG assignments due each week which must be done to sit for the exam. Nice guy, knows what he's talking about.

At the review for our final, Brennan informed us he would do away with the curve. If you want to work your butt off and receive a C, he's your professor. I'm not a C student, never have been, and I always get A, A-'s, and a couple B's. Breannan prides himself on giving ridiculous exams and low grades. He actually bragged about it in class.

Highly intelligent. Enjoyed his class. I liked how he incorporated case studies with key concepts and examples from principal problems. Learned a lot. Very nice guy, And he does review sessions before class for one hour. You really walk out with a lot of information. Totally recommend him.

Brennan is the only professor to make us write out future interests. The Future interests on his test look nothing like what you'll practice in the book he assigns. He only gives us exam bank access to 2 tests from 10 years ago. Let's also mention he has weekly writing assignments AND weekly tests. If you miss one you cant sit for the exam.

Good luck with this guy! Probably the worst professor I've had so far. I should have taken everyones advice and taken this class another semester with another professor. Ask around before you take his class. Also, he now has weekly assignments like a high school teacher. If he doesn't like your work, you can't sit for the exam. You're warned!

He is the absolute worst professor I've ever had! It's almost like he tries to confuse students. He rambles and then backtracks, then sort of makes a point, but says it so fast you need him to repeat it, but he won't. Good luck following your notes because they will be full of incomplete thoughts and broken bits of law.

This professor LOVES to hear himself talk. He makes principle problems mandatory however, IF he even goes over the problems, he only talks about time for MAYBE 10 min. He DOESN'T have any life experiences which makes his position questionable. He cannot answer direct questions, he is rarely available & he thinks you know everything before class!

He is a really good person overall and an awesome professor. He will take the time to teach you even when you are out of the classroom. Everyone complains that he is hard and that there is alot of work involved, but that is law school. You can't just shop around and expect life to be easy. If you want to learn and have a quality professor he's it.

Brennan likes to hear his own voice. Be prepared to be bored. His secured class was brutal. Be prepared to be called on, and asked questions that you couldn't possibly be able to answer because it wasn't in the reading, he likes to show off his expertise and demean others publicly if they don't know the answer.

Excellent professor! He broke down Future interests in the 1st 2 weeks which was clutch since it makes up 1/3 of your grade and is, as he puts it, "like open heart surgery- you nick the artery and ppl die." Easily one of the best profs at Cooley. A great prof and a true friend if you let him be. Expects good faith effort and promptness.

He is a great guy and I loved listening to him. Huge curve on the test, but study hard regardless, it will pay off. This class was demanding and required a lot of time and effort. Nice guy but not totally clear in explanations in lecture. Master future interests, start early in the term.
