Comment:
Lectures are long, monotonous and confusing. She is often tangential and has a difficult time returning to subject. Is not helpful nor welcoming. She does rely heavily on textbook content, which can be beneficial; however, for students who learn through lectures and discussion, this Prof should be avoided.

As a psych teacher, it's really not a good thing to be racist, sexist, classist, and ableist, but Dana manages to hit all of those points every class. I have found myself more than once being like, "Can she say that?!"

She can come off as rude in person and in emails. Tries to have the class participates but gets awkward. Dry material and long lectures. Confusing and disorganized notes. Oh, and she won't go easy on you. You need the notes and textbook to pass and even that's not enough.

Comment:
Probably the most boring lecture I've had this year. She doesn't post any of her lectures and uses this monotonous tone throughout her lectures. She expects you to answer short answers in the quiz straight from the book (meaning you actually have to memorise or you'll get it wrong). If you get the chance avoid taking this class with her.

Lectures are very unclear, relied heavily on the textbook because the lectures were confusing.

Comment:
Same as Child Psych. Lecture notes are barely structured and confusing and she gets annoyed and angry when anyone points it out. Enthusiastic about material, but uses confusing examples and gets flustered easily. Tests are fair, but long answer section is hard. Essay is easy if you read the book.

I have never been so bored in my life. She is super awkward and is simply just not a fun teacher at all. The textbook does a better job at explaining. Just read that and you will be fine.

Terrible teacher. She doesn't post anything online and is awful at writing test questions and marking. The class average of the first class was a D because her questions are confusing and don't actually measure what you've learned. They try to confused you or are unclear. Everyone complained. I have no doubt she failed her course evaluation.

Dana is really a sweet woman, however her teaching skills aren't that great. Her lecture notes are very disorganized and hard to follow. She is very inconsistent when marking essay questions on tests, and when you question her grading she gets very defensive. Also gets nervous when nobody participates in class.

Really focused on the amount of time; kind of rushes; can be rude when replying to students questions because of this.

Prof Williams' class was always entertaining to attend - not one to skip as she often gave great tipstricks for remembering the material. I'd take another class with her in a heartbeat.

This professor doesn't know how to answer questions, doesn't know how to handle feedback, and doesn't even proofread her tests. She is one of the most boring professors I have ever had--she even states that she is boring herself. She never asks useful questions. She will often say, "you get it right?". I could go on, but I am out of space.

attend all lectures and make notes to 100 all exams easily. She marks essay hard and reads off her textbook summary notes every class. Very boring keep saying "uhmm....yea...u get it right". do not recommend overall if u get dis prof. seriously shes really bad at teaching -_-

I advise anyone involved in extracurriculars or are genuinely interested in this course for that matter to stay away from her. She has no sympathy or understanding for those that represent the university and is very passive when you approach her with a legitimate situation. It's really too bad because it was a useful course taught by a lousy prof

Worst professor i ever had. seems nervous to be in front of the class and has absolutely no idea what in the world she is talking about! uses her notes ALOT. omg, i can't. says a lot of "uhm, you know right? like i don't have to..ok...well whatever you get it." ugh. DO NOT take her class if you are genuinely interested in the course. seriously.

It's a great class that will benefit you in the long-run. While her style of teaching is not the greatest, the material will make you motivated enough, I think.
