Comment:
Sometimes thorough in explaining assignments, sometimes not. There can be random assignments throughout the week with random due dates so it's easy to miss them. Can also end up taking very long to grade things, so if you're someone who constantly checks your grade, it might be incredibly inaccurate.

Pam is a very smart woman and she knows what she is talking about. I really liked her weekly class but some learning sites are not the best to work at! I enjoy her perspective and help on things. Make sure you read all your assignments and her requirements for the assignment and you should be fine!

Asks too many freaking questions. Has too many assignments all due at the same time. Random assignments due during the week, so you might miss a few if you dont check iLearn. If nothing in your life relates to the project she assigns you, just bs it. She wont know

Motoike gives a lot projects all at the same time. She asks a lot of questions (questions within a question) for each of the many papers that she assigns, and expects all of them to be answered in great detail. However, as long as you keep track of all the assignments and you put a little effort in, you'll easily get an A.

Pamela seems like a very nice person, but I do not like her teaching style. She is not clear on some of her in class discussions and when asked to clarify, she doesn't. She assigns too much homework. Every week there is a forum, reflection, or something due. It is ridiculous and super frustrating considering you have other classes. I wouldn't take.

Torn between liking the class and hating it most of the time. She gave us so much assignments outside of class but the class was fun because we talked about Interesting topics. She seemed to be a lot easier than other SL teachers but it was seriously a lot of assignments piled on top of one another. She expects a lot but gives awesome feedback

Gives to many assignments on top of your 6 hours of class, and 4 hours of service learning. Doesn't understand we have other classes, but keeps piling on the assignments and doesn't make it clear when we have assignments due. Wouldn't take her class again.

She will help anyone who asks for it. A lot of the students in my class were freshman repeating it (I was a transfer) and they didn't show up and are failing out of CSUMB. I think she genuinely wants to help her students to be better people, and her assignments are thought-provoking if you actually take them seriously and don't dismiss them.

I had her for women's issues. She is not a very good teacher. I don't believe that the actual class time improves your service. The two areas were completely incompatible. There is a lot of homework and this takes time as well as your service time. Your service hours only count for 30 pts out of 200. Would not take another class from her.

she gives a lot of work for a lower division class. Great teacher who's excellence is beign wasted in this school with the classes that she is offered to teach. She should change from department.
