Noreen is kind, but truly terrible, and the reviews above are all 100% true. The content is not difficult, but you'll get a lower grade w/ her. She is disorganized, botches D2L assignments, unresponsive. Feedback sucks. HW ?s aren't just unclear, she grades things not asked for. If she's your only option, wait til next sem. and pick someone else.

This class is tough - 2 tests, weekly engagements and quizzes, a business project, and team simulation. She knows what she's talking about but goes off on tangents the entire class. She doesn't answer emails and her grading criteria is awful. Extra credit that adds 4% to your exam score. Avoid!

Her lecture never related to the textbook, and she required you to do chapter quiz almost every week after reading the whole chapter by yourself. She also have the engagement homework almost once a week Some homework correct answers are pretty conflict with the question instructions. Some correct answers are exactly wrong! Try to avoid her class!!!

Test are difficult but if you read and go over her lectures than you can succeed. I started off the first test with a CD but after talking to her and going in to office hours she helped me understand the material. She really cares for her students and while the lecture is dry she try's to relate it to real life and will help you if you ask!

Dr. Lephardt is a great economist. She gives good examples about current events but sometimes drifts away from the subject and rambles on about random stuff for a long time. Long lectures. Hard class makes you work for your grade. Gives good study guides on what is going to be on the test.

Don't take this class! All she does is rant and her lectures are so confusing. Had to resort to withdrawing from this class because she takes an easy subject and makes it really difficult.

Dr. Lephardt is one of the best teachers I have had at Marquette. Her lectures are awesome because they combine current issues and anecdotes with material that otherwise can be pretty dry. You'll never be bored with her as a teacher. Loved going to her office hours just to talk/debate. She truly cares about all of her students.

Honestly, the class in it of itself shouldn't be hard, but Lephardt makes it hard. Her in class 'lectures' are pretty much incoherent rants, and she depends way too heavily on the book. She's also convinced that a C is a totally ok grade, so if you pull a C in her class, be happy I guess. AVOID IF YOU CAN

Weekly homework and quizzes aren't bad, but lectures are the worst. She goes on long tangents about her personal life and when she gets back on topic, everyone is lost. She calls out random people in class and it's embarrassing if you get a question wrong. She will kick you out if you miss more than 4 classes. Avoid if possible.

I would not say this is a easy class but she is a really amazing teacher, who makes this course interesting. She is really passionate about her lecture. Weekly online hw and quiz, which is fine, but stms take you a long time to prepare before that---read the book.... In short, she really wants her students do well n I encourage to choose her!

Noreen is really passionate about Economics and tends to go on tangents, but is very comical now and then. She is very student centered, but at the same time expects a lot from students. Exams are short answer and multiple choice and has online homework and quizzes due every Sunday. She is helpful, but you have to study to succeed.

very opinionated and if you do not agree with her she will make you feel like you are wrong and stupid for being wrong. if you don't want to be talked to as if you are in middle school do not take her.

Dr. L is a very educated and intelligent woman. She has a passion for economics and teaches with enthusiasm. She is very helpful in her office hours and wants to ensure success for her students. I didn't like the in-class lectures. She talked the entire 75 minutes and didn't use power point as much as she should've. They were hard to follow.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Legitimately the worst class I have ever had. She was a terrible teacher. I did not learn very much from her and had to teach myself for the IMPOSSIBLE finals. It is hard to do well on a test where you haven't been taught whats on it.

She is clearly an intelligent person, but she'd be more fit to teach an upper level Econ course. She has a strong tendency to go off on tangents, and though she goes over the material in class I always left never really learning anything. If possible, take another teacher. She's not terrible, but it wasn't a very enlightening class.

I don't know people think her tests are so difficult, as she tells what the questions will be while she's lecturing. Online homeworks are also fairly easy. Just take good notes and read and her tests are quite simple. Go to her office hours as she WILL and DOES tell you what info is and isn't on her test. No reason to not get at least BC or B.
