Comment:
I don't understand philosophy and I hate that it was required. Never really understood what he was talking about but since the tests were multiple choice it was easy to pass. And he has a kind of quirky accent which makes it fun to listen to.

Lots of people struggled with this class, but I found it easy if I went to lecture and did the homework. Didn't take too much time. Lectures are slow-going but helpful. Robinson encourages questions and is a very helpful prof. He can take the long way to answer a question, but it didn't hurt anything. Overall a good prof. I'd recommend this class.

I really enjoyed Robinson as a teacher. He was easy-going and he really seemed like he wanted to help us understand the subject. Careful though, he is a little hard of hearing.

Intelligent, engaging, and the arguments really have stuck with me over time. You don't realize it at the time, but his teaching provides you a great mental groundwork in general. Also, he has a great disposition and voice.

Robinson is great! It's a hard class in general. It requires a lot of thinking along with an open mind. I think he does a great job of helping students understand different view points without forcing ideas into their heads. Pay attention in class, do some REAL thinking, and you got an A.

WSR was an excellent prof. The fact that he didn't just write on the board, give handouts, etc, is evidence that he emphesized thinking rather than just learning "facts" or whatever.

Smart interesting, missed one class and he had me come in and he did the entire 2 hour lecture for me, which shows he cares about his students and has a passion in teaching them this stuff.

I've taken 4 classes with Bill, he's one of the best prof's in Phil (Hollinger being the other) I strongly recommend ANY class by Bill except Phil 207 (its a logic class, most ppl would hate it and it fills quickly as it's required for philo majors)

I think this class was way to hard for an Intro class. He just talked and talked for an hour and half and made no sense to me. Tests were long and multiple choice. I think philosophy is more of and essay test class. thats how my 231 class was.

I liked the he teaches. He is VERY knowledgable at what he teaches which is very good... the only thing is you really have to pay attention to what he says and what the other students say too because he doesn't really tell you what to study.

I can tell he really knows a lot. But I just don't like his way of teaching, no notes, no slide shows, very few handouts... He just keeps talking. He is a serious grader, too. :(

Robinson was quite possibly one of the worst lecturers I've ever had! I can take him 3 days to go over a very simple argument. I believe that he is a great person and well educated. However, he is a horrible instructor!
