He is the best professor I have ever met ;) Stick to what he says, notes, and homework. It's the math that could kill you, not him. His exam is pretty fair and he curves based on your work written on the sheets.

For in person classes, make sure to take good notes and do his DNHI homework as well as take home homework and make sure to review those problems before an exam because half of will be hw questions. As for taking him online, he won't be teaching so just make sure to watch Prof. Leonard on youtube to understand the content and do the hws.

Do yourself a favor and take it with someone else. I had him during the COVID-19 semester, and he did not teach a single class. He said he doesn't have access to his email outside of school and told us to read from the textbook. It was a nightmare!

In my opinion, to get in A in this class, you have to be willing to study as much as possible. Each chapter in the textbook requires about a week of study and his notes are helpful, yet different from the textbook. If you do manage to study 30-40 hours a week, then you will see why Churchill loves this course.

Professor Churchill is a bad professor. He does not use blackboard. During quarantine there were no classes because he does not use technology other than the computer he has in his office. He supplied notes but the notes are terrible. He explains things how he understands them. Cannot teach and the way he grades exams is terrible.

The textbook he uses is total garbage. Don't waste your money. It's incomprehensible and the back says it's for a second course in lin. alg. or GRADUATE students. The class is very, very difficult. Seriously. Beware. Some people might like him, but for me he was condescending and intimidating. He'll make fun of you if you aren't a math genius.

This prof is by far the most awesome MATH professor I've had in CUNY (MIT material), a real gem at hunter. He's good humored, loves maths, gives you lots of real life examples and brings abstract concept into comprehension. Definitely recommend him for anyone who is willing to learn and also put in the work!!

Genuinely wants to help you. Will answer questions briefly after class and has office hours - go if you need help. Occasionally humorous. Come to class. Do all the hand-ins and do-not-hand-ins for homework and do them again before exams. If you don't understand, ask and he'll explain. Curves a lot. Definitely passable if you put in the effort.

Curved a lot. I wish I reviewed more on the topics and did more of the DNHI assignments to properly prepare me for the tests but Oh WeLl.. Honestly though, take this class seriously.. 150 was a Cake-Walk.

Professor Churchill is a very solid choice for Calculus 2. To do well in the class, complete all the do not hand in homework assignments and hand in homework assignments and understand how to do those problems. Practice additional problems from the textbook, its a good book to study from. Also, he grades in a liberal way that benefits students.

Well He says he doesnt curve , but if the class average is low he curves quite a lot and he is inspirational , smart old man. He's humorous and as long as you do the homework and attend lectures you should be fine because atleast 1 problem comes from the Hw problems he gave.

If you someone who needs examples and likes the simple way of understanding Calc 3 problems. Don't take him. Leave and go away. His free text that he gives out for the class is great because its free and you do not need to buy a textbook, however I feel like his notes are way too complicated to understand.

Churchill teaches Calculus 3 in great generality and theorems. This can make it harder to follow things since they can be so abstract. He writes his own text (given to us for free) and basically has everything you need. He goes over examples in more detail, so if you are a genius you can get away with not going to class. Would recommend.

I love Professor Churchill so much!! It's incredible how much he knows and how easy he makes it all seem. His tests are fair if you listen and do hw. He is always willing to answer questions. He's a very nice man and the little doodles that he draws on the board to accompany his lectures are adorable. Far from impossible to get an A!

Calculus 3 is the type of classes in which you'll need a professor to do as many problems as possible for you to understand the concepts. Unfortunately, prof Churchill is not this professor. He knows what he's teaching but he does not do a good job at communicating that knowledge to students. I wish I could say different but I would not recommend.

Ive had good math professors, Prof. Churchill is the best there is! Ask a lot of questions in the class, participate a lot. Do all the DNHI and homework. His exams are mostly problems he covered in class or from the DNHI. The exams are hard and vector calculus is a very hard subject. You dont need to read the textbook, he explains everything

Professor Churchill didn't just teach me Linear Algebra, he taught me how to do higher mathematics. Because of the foundation Churchill helped me lay in Linear Algebra, I was able to navigate through the rigorous proofs of Analysis and Abstract Algebra with ease. If you're really serious about mathematics, you'll start with Churchill.

Comment:
Churchill has to be the best math professor at hunter especially for linear algebra. Linear algebra is very complex and most students have never been introduced to this way of thinking, but churchill breaks down the subject very well and gives clear examples, that make the concepts understandable. Do all the DNHI and all the hand-ins. Ask questions
