Although I had previous heard that Professor Willrich was an great professor and was excited and optimistic about taking his class, I am completely disappointed with his lack of understanding and "know it all" attitude towards students. Multiple individuals in my class agree with this statement.

Willrich is awesome, organized, and passionate, and simply changes outlooks. I entered his class a naive student and left it (before coming back for another of his classes) an eager, serious scholar. Of course that entails hard work, but he cares so deeply about you and about the content of his class that it more than pays off.

A must-take for any history or legal studies student. Willrich is perhaps the best lecturer on campus. While he makes you work for your grade and the readings are sometimes long and dense, they are always interesting and the feedback that he gives and attention given to each student is unparalleled. The man is brilliant and a brilliant teacher.

Favorite teacher at Brandeis. Attendance is a must as is keeping up with the readings (which are mostly very interesting court cases). By no means an easy A. However the class is extremely rewarding and you'll do well if you put in the effort and go to office hours. take advantage of the option to turn in a rough draft for your research paper

Great professor who is extremely knowledgable and helpful. I had him for American Legal History II, and he was an engaging lecturer. He expects a lot from students so reading and class participation are essential.

Willrich is inarguably the best professor I've had at Brandeis so far. His lectures are extremely engaging, every class is marked by lively discussion, and he is very helpful in office hours. His class may be challenging, but taking a Willrich class is a rewarding experience. If you work hard, you'll do well. He's a must for any history student.

Great professor, lectures were well organized with outlines handed to the class at the start of each. slightly tough with the grading, but not unfair. Simply a brilliant man, one of the brightest profs ive had, especially for such a young guy.

Great professor, really interested in the topics he teaches. Always supportive and encouraging, although completely honest when work is just not up to par, which, in the long run, is more helpful than not.Extremely approachable, great discussion leader!
