Comment:
As long as you consume his classes every week, and at least twice a week, you'll do fine. It is an online course so you can control the speed of his videos. His topics are a little out of date and some can be boring. Some might not be as relevant in the real world but everything is relevant for the exam, including some of the dumbest questions.

Comment:
The Professional Practice ECOR 4995 course is simply a waste of time. Carl Kropp has compiled over 20 mostly useless lectures recorded in 2010 that we are forced to watch online and write summaries about. Some of the topics covered in this class like PEO and PEng are useful, but the majority of this course is dated and useless. 0 out of 10.

Awful topic, but hes a jack of all trades. Lectures have great entertainment value at 2.5x speed or 0.5x speed. The perfect guy for whatever mood youre in. Kropperoni is perfectly balanced as all things should be.

My man Kropperoni. Pretty chill dude, talks really slow but if it's an online class you can bump him up to 2.5x speed and still understand him.

Very knowledgeable on material and cares that you know how to do it. He explains everything that he tests on. If you do the work and follow his examples, all his tests are very similar so you will do well.

Can be a pretty funny guy. Will say this though, and it cannot be emphasized enough: DO THE PROBLEMS HE ASSIGNS. ALL OF THEM. It's all open book (even final), and he assigns very relevant questions to what will be tested. Form a study group or if you are having difficulty with any questions, see Kropp or a TA. Attending class helps as well.

You get to take the course pack into the exam, and all the Power questions on the final are variations of examples that were solved in class or in the PA sessions. Kropp is a very smart man who care about understanding the material instead of just shear memorization. He provides all the tools you need for success

Hard to read his notes at times, but they're complete. Questions on tests / exams come right from the course pack, which you can bring -- WRITE HIS EXAMPLES (and good assignment problems) into it, and you're golden. Quite hilarious at times. Very smart man: tons of real world stories. Kudos for pushing 80 and still teaching. Overall, a good prof!

Forget about understanding what he says. Virtually incomprehensible, and don't even bother copying down what he writes on the board. Mud is more readable than that mess. *HOWEVER* Easy tests and the final exam was basically the examples from the course pack. Guaranteed good mark.

His lectures prepare you well for the tests and exams - if you actually make the effort to listen to him. If you only attend class to copy notes, you'll have a lot of trouble understanding his writing.

Easy tests, hard exam. I thought he was a bad professor from the amount of work he gave ,but if u do it all and pay attention in class, you will be very prepared for a job in the power industry.

A legend in the industry, runs the course with the intent of preparing you for a entry level job in the power industry. If you interested in that, he will take you there; reasonable guy, exams are hard and tests are easy.

Kropp could make the easiest course in the world seem complicated. I swear he uses Fourier Transforms to solve basic arithmetic. Just wait until the moment you realize that crazy diagram he drew on the board is just a regular circuit diagram of three parallel inductors, then you'll know what I mean.

In this class, we spend more time trying to decipher Kropp's chickenscratch handwriting writing than studying. That said, his notes are very complete. His course is well-organized and easy to follow, provided you do the studying. Of course, the lack of brutal all-weekend lab sessions should make that a breeze.

"5% OF ALL LOBSTERS ARE LEFT HANDED" [1]. Did you know that? I certainly didn't, but Kropp had enlightened me. His wisdom concerning lobsters is unrivaled (probably because no one else gives a ****).

if u have even a remote interest in the subject of power, u'd be a fool not to enroll in his class. good prof, ppl unfairly ride him imo, but if u take this class looking for a filler or bird course, he will bury you.

Very Knowledgable and tons of experience! You got to do the work he assigns or you're toast on the tests and exam. He tells you EXACTLY what questions are on the tests! He really is a good prof., but if you don't like the subject, he probably won't inspire you.

He's got the "Oh, I'm a PEO, I know best" attitude. This is the attitude that brings a bad name to engineers, and yet he teaches about similar material. Would love to see him go 5 rounds vs Prof Bailetti. Someone tell him to lose the pride. I won't.. I like my marks.
