Took this class online over summer. You watch 3 hours of lecture per week (I put it on 2x, so really 1.5 hours). He is clear and makes sense in his lectures. I am terrible at math and I am doing really well in the class. Only 5-10 questions of homework per week and the tests don't make you feel like you'll run out of time. Highly recommend.

is basically discrete math, i'm terrible at math and this class was a breeze. his exams are easy and he let us use one page of notes for each one (i took the class online). was also great at responding to my emails. highly recommend!

Take this class if you need an easier math credit. Professor Lada was the best professor because he made class interesting and getting an A is not hard to do. Go to class and there were just a few easy tests. He explains everything well and is very caring about his students :)

As someone who's fairly bad at math, this class was pretty easy considering it's basically English. He will drop your lowest test score if you do not miss less than 3 class periods, and all of his tests are open note.

Best math class I've ever taken, especially coming from someone who generally sucks at math. He lets you use your notes on all the tests and they're pretty much the same stuff, just replaced a few numbers. If you're someone who can follow step by step instructions, this class if definitely for you. Would recommend if math isn't your thing!

Yeah sure, all the tests are open note but he only has one way of teaching and if you don't understand, good luck. Also before each test, online homework is assigned that is graded for ACCURACY and there's only like four questions so you miss two and have like a 60% and you don't even get to know what were the correct answers.

This class is the BEST Math course you can take. The concepts are relatively simple and Prof. Lada does an amazing job explaining them. All tests are open notes so if you come to class you will pass, he is such a sweet man I highly recommend this course

His tests and final are all open-note. He says that attendance is mandatory but all his lectures are online so it's not really. He's extremely nice and he usually let us out of class 30 minutes early. Textbook is essential (and expensive).

I found Dr. Lada's Calculus course much easier to follow than my Pre-Calc class. I would definitely recommend his class if you aren't good at math, because he makes it a lot more understandable, and replaces your lowest test grade with your final exam grade if it helps!

You would have to try to fail this class. All exams are open note, even the final. Attendance isn't required, but he'll drop your lowest one if you miss 3 or fewer classes. All lectures are posted on his website. I only went to class on exam days and got an A just from watching the videos. Plus, he'll let you makeup exams, no questions asked.

This is an easy class IF you watch the lectures, do the homework, and TAKE GOOD NOTES. Homework is not collected, but you still need to do it. All tests (even the final) are open note, so good notes are vitally important. I have never been good with math, but got an A+ in this class. If I can, you can!

Very relaxed professor. Homework is not mandatory and exams are open note- even the final. Great class to knock out a GEP requirement.

If you study even remotely, you'll do well. (I slept through 50% of the classes and got an A+ because the tests are easier than the homework) I think Dr. Lada knows that nobody in MA103 cares about math and therefore does not assign unmanageable amounts of work. His course is the BEST way to tackle the math GEP requirement. He's also a nice dude.

I'm not bad at math, but I hate it. He made it bearable. Homework is not graded or taken up, but do it. Take good notes, too, because you can use both on the tests and exam. The class can drag and get a bit boring, but stick with it and you'll get through your math no problem.

Dr. Lada is a super nice guy however I learned absolutely nothing in the class. Many people took AP Calc before this class and I did not so that may be the reason why but nothing he said made any sense to me. His tests arent hard so I got A by having other friends teach it all to me. I literally learned everything from the book or other people.

Dr. Lada is really nice, and good at explaining math. Attendance is optional, but you get your lowest grade replaced with exam grade if you miss 3 or less. Homework isnt collected. I definitely recommend him. But I get drowsy in there.

Dr. Lada will explain everything as much as he can and often works through examples and questions that students have. The homework isn't collected, but it helps with understanding problems. Also he will ask if anyone has any questions from the homework. You're not allowed to change seats in the semester, because the seats are used for attendance.

Pretty easy class. Homework isn't taken up, although I recommend doing it because you can use all of your homework and notes on all the tests. Tests are straight forward and he doesn't try to trick you up. His class gets boring at times and is easy to fall asleep in. He's friendly and slightly goofy. But overall, I recommend taking his class!
