For American Corp, it's an easy upper division BUSN or ECON class. His lectures are BORING. Just read the notes. Couldn't imagine taking this class in person though. Luckily I used notes for online tests but in person, his tests would be ridiculously hard. His grading criteria is super unclear.

I hate to say it, but Spencer broke my streak of amazing teachers at Trinity. I love econ but this man is boring and I'm not even forced to pay attention because the textbook teaches the material as good or better than he does. A lovely man, but don't take the class unless you have to.

Dr. Spencer is awesome! This was an easy class only because of how he taught it. Made sure everyone understood a concept before moving on. If you are already good at econ you may want to take it with someone more challenging, but Spencer is a great professor who really cares

Dr. Spencer was a really funny professor, and made concepts very easy to understand. I struggled on the exams primarily because I didn't read the textbook as much as I should have.

Be sure to study for tests, because as long as you study by reviewing notes and reading the chapters in the book and information from them you need to know (on the study guide) for the test you'll do fine. Take the project seriously and practice presenting it. Doing the homework helps you understand the math, so be sure to do it! Great professor!

He's really smart and knows what he's talking about, but lectures can get really confusing. Homework isn't given often or graded but you need to do it because he calls on people to work the problems. Tests are doable but you definitely have to study hard. The final is very difficult. You need to study twice as hard compared to the two regular tests

He is a very smart professor who knows what he is talking about. Lectures can be boring with lots of graphs that you usually have no idea about. Tests are pretty difficult. The Final is really hard. Also there is a 10 page term paper that graded relatively closely and a presentation that the class grades. Overall an okay but challenging course.

Professor Spencer's a great teacher. He tells a lot of stories but always tries to relate them to the topics discussed in class. He gives us a 5 minute break during every class and his tests are relatively easy if you take good notes and do the assigned reading.

Spencer is always more excited than the students, but the class was fairly interesting nonetheless. Lessons basically follow the book with some examples and fun exercises added. Tests are simple and fair but there is an emphasis on history. Attendance optional but he will ask you where you've been and there is a participation grade. Fun guy!

I would not recommend Dr. Spencer. He spends most of the class reading out-loud to you... are we in elementary school? Every class seems very random and hard to fit the information together. There is no book which makes it even harder. He is nice and smart, but not a very good professor.

Avoid, avoid, avoid! Tests are nothing like what he teaches in class; he wastes literally 45 minutes of class time drawing graphs that are already in the book. Many people withdrew from his section last semester. Tests are mostly computer generated, with a random (difficult) subjective graph/fill-in-the-blank/grid section. Take good notes!

Nice guy who is easy to approach. Speaks softly so it is best to sit towards the front of the class. Tests are moderately difficult but he gives study guides which are helpful in reviewing. Outside of class he isn?t much help. Light homework load and encourages group work. Read textbook is necessary for scoring high on tests. Overall, good cour

Spencer is a nice guy and fine prof - but his tests are terrible. He uses test bank questions so the tests end up not highlighting what was empahasized in class. He curved them a bit but not enough and did not seem very sympathetic - its not our fault he is too lazy to write his own tests.

Dr Spencer is a charasmatic, funny, and likable guy. The work load is light, and he's a generous grader (curves and bonus and "its ok to copy your homework from someone else") He makes this lame subject bearable with his energy and occassional early releases. I got an A with not much work..again, light work load (never opened the book personally)
