I had him for my Cultural Heritage I (Self, Sacred, and Society) and he was super cool. CH gets a reputation for being unnecessarily hard but he wasn't too tough of a grader. The lectures could be somewhat boring but he's an odd/funny guy so he makes it fun. Gives you the opportunity to turn in papers early for feedback. Recommend for CH1.

Professor Dell'Olio is so awesome! He's extremely witty and personable, making it really easy to connect with him. He isn't a tough grader and homework isn't hard. He makes philosophy and history interesting (which is hard) and I'm hoping to take another course of his soon! 10/10 recommend

Grades consist of quizzes, a few exams, and a couple essays. If you put the work in you can get a good grade in the class. He's a really good guy and tries to make the material as interesting as possible. Would definitely say this is one of the more easier cultural heritage classes.

Dell'Olio was a great FYS professor. He did his best to keep our class free of stress and held a pretty low work load. He's a fun prof that enjoys and is well versed in what he teaches. Our class was mostly discussion based and we wrote only a few papers. He had a fun sense of humor. I definitely recommend this guy.

Great prof! Hilarious, down to earth, engaging, and passionate about philosophy. We never had a quiz in class, and only had to write a few papers. I tend to prefer more work in class- but appreciated that he only required us to read/do what we needed to to understand the material. I looked forward to his class everyday.

Prof Dell'Olio is fun, knowledgeable, and an easy grader. He is very passionate about what he teaches. His heavily lecture based classes were a bit boring at times, but he threw in videos, meditation, and martial arts to make the class fun. He is a very kind professor, and I would recommend him!

the guy freakin' rocks. He is amazing and it's because of him that I'm picking up a philosophy minor. He has such passion and dry wit, which actually works well for him. LOVE HIM!!! Everyone should be required to take a least one class with him.

A great prof. Always helpful and easy to talk to. He does very well in helping clarify things that just don't make sense. He is very well educated but holds back a lot so that students are allowed to think about what each philosophy implies.

You have to admire the mans love of phil. All you have to do is listen and write notes and you will do good in his class, the readings are really more than what you need to do.
