This guy was my worst professor in my college carrier. I graduated. This guy is rude. He is like a high school teacher DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. he should retire. the world would be better if he retired. the WORST teacher I have EVER had. he is TERRIBLE DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY. DROP THIS CLASS PICK A NEW TEACHER. TRUST ME I PROMISE. DO NOT DO IT!

When I say I hated this class I truly mean it. He is an EXTREMELY hard grader, and if you don't write to his views then he will give you a lower grade. Spare yourself and DO NOT take this class. Please I'm begging you. I can feel your future stress myself.

He is very knowledgeable about what he is teaching but he requires writing assignments to be turned in during every class period and you have online grammar homework and quizzes/tests to prepare for at the same time. If you aren't good with time management, I wouldn't recommend him.... especially if you are a full time student.

If you do the writing assignments for each class you will pass. KEEP THE PAPERS!!!!! At the end of the semester he gives extra credit if you turn them all in.

He doesn't really teach in class and told the class that I was in, that we had to teach ourselves. He requires papers to be done by the next class period. Other than that, he cares for his students and wants to see them succeed.

This is a great professor. He is successful at teaching well and gives you lots of material to study for tests. Expect writing assignments every class period. Take this class if you can, I heavily reccomend it.

I actually enjoyed Prof. Owens' class. There is a fair amount of writing and grammar in this class, so be prepared for that. His grading was really not too difficult either. He really cared about his students and he loves when his students participate in group discussion, which there is a lot of too. Overall, he was my favorite professor.

Although I am an English major this class was the worst English class I have taken. There are a lot of papers due. He demands class participation and makes you sit in alphabetical order. He discusses controversial topics and makes people debate about them and some student cried because it dealt with them and he didn't care and continued. Don't take

The only professor Ive had that doesnt understand people have lives outside of school. Will not let you make up anything. Do not skip on days of quizzes. If you have him, Id suggest to drop him. When he gives instructions hes never clear then gets mad when you have questions.

Mr. Owens teaching a writing class, so naturally there is a lot of writing. A short story is usually required for each class and are often read amongst peers. I have found this practice to be helpful in checking the overall flow and efficacy of what you are trying to convey.

Mr Owens is a hard professor. He assigns a lot of essays and homework ,but writing so much also made me a better writer. He grades essays on his own opinion, which i think is unfair. I gained a lot of knowledge from Mr. Owens, but i still ended up with an undesirable grade. One day i'll be a millionaire so the grade wont matter.

Assigns papers after every class and if you miss class, the work can't be made up so attendance is very important. Does not have a filter and will call anyone out for the smallest things. Be careful!!

I really enjoyed Mr. Owens class. He always came in ready to teach. He's a stickler, and doesn't like giving makeup work.. simple, show up to class. If you do what he says, he's easy to get a long with. writing topics are easy and about personal issues. Groupwork. He make's it interesting. Interactive, you don't always just come in and listen.

Mr. Owens class was a difficult class. He treated certain students differently than other student and he talks about himself a lot . Be prepared to write a paper after every class. I would not recommend his class. My best advice to anyone taking this class is, try your best and do what he ask and you should pass the class with at least a C.

Very rude. He will freak out over things such as your cell phone sitting on the corner of your table. On the safe side, I would print everything. I messed up on something along with many other people and he was rude and told me it was not okay. Can be nice at times. Will tell you to go to his office hours if you have questions.

Started the first day of class with never ending lecture about nonsense. Assigns essays for every class meeting and over the weekend. If you're not a cute young girl good luck keeping a good grade. The type of teacher that will lock the door at 12:16 when you meet at 12:15 and not let you inside. AVOID IF YOU CAN.

Professor makes you work for your grade. Tests were difficult but the essays are major part of the class. Listen clearly and do as he wants and you will get a good grade. Expect homework every class. Can be funny.

He is a great teacher, he is fair and holds all students accountable. If you don't show up you will fail! But you can learn a lot from him, he grades hard but fair.
