Business majors get their panties in a bunch about this class, but its the only real class they actually take. Any math, cs, engineering person will find this is one of the easiest classes in their freshman schedule.

Klepper is one of the best professors at cmu. If you are a smart and dedicated student you will get an amazing amount out of the class, as he not only will teach you econ but how to apply it in a variety of current issues. I highly recommend having lunch with him (something he offers. He's the reason I wanna minor in econ.

I'm not gonna lie, I sometimes lost focus staring at how hot he is. Definitely a teacher for looks and knowledge too. But seriously if you're stupid. Leave before you fail with a W. But then again his hotness is worth it. #cheetah. Also the t.a's really make the class so get a good one

Klepper is one of the best teachers at CMU, and he's taught for 30 years so he already knows how you're going to mess up. I've found that smarter students love the class, and less bright ones hate it. I feel no pity, this class is one of the few which isn't dulled down.

I came to CMU with AP credit in economics but I decided to take this class anyway. Biggest mistake of my life. I dropped it after the second week and took the credit. True or false. Black or white. This or that. How can you teach economics like that? AP Macro - 5. AP Micro - 5. 2 weeks of Klepper - C.

My hardest class and also the most interesting. He measures your understanding by taking what we learn and applying them to new situations and sometimes adds extra variables to questions we've had on minitests. You LEARN.

He always teaches materials not related to his textbook. So it is sucks. On monday and Wednesday he does his lecture and on Friday (only for one day!!) we and TA go through textbook homework and quiz never related to his lecture. Beside, his final test is really funny. 100 hundred questions without explanation only T/F !!! it just measures luck

His "win every argument" attitude makes him sound dictatorial and makes some students feel defeated during class discussions. Other than that, he's pretty knowledgeable and very effective in his teaching.

Klepper's tough and demanding, and he gives a good amount of homework each week. His exams are definitely no walk in the park. That said, he's an excellent teacher and you will truly understand microeconomics after having him.
