Doesn't know how to properly teach material to students by any means. His dull math lectures consisted of reading off of a prewritten notes sheet. I stopped going to lecture after the first week. Watch Sebastian Fernandez on YouTube and you too will never return to lecture. I would take again because of how the class is structured.

Chen is a terrible explainer. Majority of the class never attended his online synchronous lectures, but instead used YouTube videos and recitation to learn the material. He was lenient with changing the homework due date when needed! His homeworks, tests, and quizzes are pretty easy (thus why many ppl passed without learning through him).

He's extremely diligent about responding on Piazza. If you ever feel stuck, consider viewing Sebastian Fernandez's channel on YouTube.

Chen is not the best professor, but his class is the easiest class I have ever taken. Just review the lecture notes a day or so before the quizzes and tests and you'll be fine. Most of his test and quiz questions are ripped straight from his lecture notes.

Dr. Chen is a great lecturer, but you may have trouble understanding his accent. However, it should be fairly easy to understand after a few classes. The problems in the notes are fairly similar to the questions on his quizzes and exams. If you show up to all the lectures and recitations, you should not have any problems getting the A.

Chen has a little bit of a heavy accent, but you get used to it quickly. He has the entire schedule, hw problems, and lecture slides posted from day 1 which is very nice. His lectures are fast paced, but it's fine because the notes are available on his website. His quizzes and tests are very easy, and aren't meant to trip you up on old calculus.

Chen is honestly a good professor. For 2552 the exams and quizzes were pretty easy but the best thing you can do for yourself in this class is look up Sebastian Fernandez on YouTube and use his videos. Did this all semester and didn't even need to go to lecture or recitation.

If we read and understand the slides he gives, then it is not hard to get an A. Quizzes and tests are pretty close to the examples in his slides.

I was worried because I wasn't following him in class. Look up Sebastian Fernandez on youtube. He covers the entire course as an old GT TA. Lectures are useless. Homework takes no time. Tests and quizzes are extremely simple. He uses 3 different grading weights to determine what gives you the best overall grade and uses that.

Go to recitation and that's all you need to do for this class. Tests are really easy, lecture is boring. He's not the best lecturer but his notes are really well-organized and he gives a lot of review material too.

This was the easiest math class I have ever taken. Prof Chen's lectures are not entertaining and sometimes even confusing, but all of the quizzes and exams are a super easy. At the beginning of the semester he states that whatever final grade we get will not be curved, but you understand why when the average for the final is an A.

Didn't go to lecture after the first month, recitation and the occasional online notes are all you need. Almost always uses the same questions for exams/quizzes as previous semesters, so if you have a friend who has taken him before it really helps. Easy A but you might leave the class not feeling like you really know differential equations.

Dr. Chen is a REALLY bad lecturer, but at least his class is really easy. Tests and quizzes were not too complex. Go to recitation/studios, do some studying on your own (watch Sebastain Fernandez' Diffeq videos on YouTube) and you'll be straight.

Don't even count on going to lectures. Cuz, it straight up boring. Easy math class by far, just 2 midterms and an exam. Hw set every week but just 3 questions with unlimited attempts. Textbook not needed, and recitations are a great way to learn the material fast. Easy work ;)

He got bad reviews since taking away crib sheets and assigning homework now apparently; Not best lecturer but still easiest class I've taken at Tech. He gives HW but its literally 3 webwork questions w/unlimited tries. Test questions are exactly like exam review sheets. Do HW, review sheets, and watch sebastians 2552 youtube vids (no txtbk needed).

Very straight forward. Easy to understand. Lots of HW. HW gets super tough, but not mandatory. Tests are extremely simple compared to hw. If you can do the test review well, you can easily get an A. Pros: Very straight forward. Easy tests .Cons: kinda tough to approach or reach out of class.
