She is very sweet and a good professor. She posts all the readings, so no need to buy the textbook. Lots of reading, but interesting material. The tests are all essays, and while she is a tough grader gives clear feedback and has clear requirements. She is understanding, takes improvement through the semester into consideration for your grade.

I took her grad class at Penn State. I am a prof now, and never forgot what I learned from her--both in course substance and in being a passionate educator. You will work and you will learn.

The lectures are so worth while, Professor Love is straight forward and always very clear. Some of the readings weren't my cup of tea, but that's what happens with ideology. I wish we would have spent more time on the "other" ideologies. Only bad thing: her TA is inept at teaching. The Friday sections- useless. I wish we had another lecture instea

Her lectures are straightforward but allows students to ask questions Readings are important and so is section The essays exams are not super easy but not hard either, gotta make sure you provide the relevent info (regarding the question) and that it is adequate to support your position (undefined number of paragraphs) overall good class

Definitely a worthwhile class to take and Professor Love is very knowledgable. If you're looking for a simple gen-ed, take this. It is not hard by any means and there are only 2 exams and a final, all essays. After the first exam, i didn't read at all - just went to class and took clear notes. Love is very smart though.

Dr. Love was an amazing professor- the best I've had at PSU so far. She's extremely knowledgeable & clarifies everything in the readings to the point where you don't even have to read them yourself! 3 essay exams & she gave the final exam question out two weeks before! Several easy quizzes that can boost your grade & a 5-page paper on a book

Good Teacher. Somewhat vague with assignments. It's my personal opinion that she leaves too much of the class to be decided by her questionably competent TA. Exam questions are straight forward and the study material is adequate. There is a lot of reading but they are usually interesting excerpts. Its not a book you'd sell back to SBS.

I love how well she knows Marx. Anyway, she expects a lot out of her students (like reading the text) but the class is worth taking because you can learn so much.

This is not a good class to take to explore political science. While the class is very interesting and you definatley learn a lot, it can be difficult. There is a large amount of reading for this class but lecture helps you understand it. I liked the class even though I'm not a poli sci major. If you're interested and don't mind the work, take it

This class is difficult, but Prof Love is very willing to help. The material is lengthy & very dry & becuz it's attendance-based, the class isn't easy. However, there are only 4 papers, no exams, which is nice. Love grades fairly & is very approachable in all areas accept when it comes to attendance.

Dr. Love is a very nice lady and is helpful. However, the class, which is attendance based, becomes very hard to bear as the semester goes on, and the material can become confusing and bland at times. The tests are all essay, which are usually graded by the T.A., and it is real hard to get an A/A-. By far the hardest of the lower level PLSC's.

The best prof on campus. I took all of her classes, and she really makes you work hard for your grade, as was stated by many others. However, the material presented is very tough, and she does an excellent job of explaining it and making it very interesting. The reason I became interested in PlSc

I'm not entirely sure what these other people were talking about, but the class isn't THAT difficult. Just do the readings you're assigned, make sure you know the words on the review sheet, and you'll be FINE. Love is very pleasant and very helpful. Just ask.

I know some were not thrilled with her or this class, but I don't think it was terrible. She is very knowledgable and approachable. The reading load may be a tad heavy. You definitely work for your grade but it isn't impossible as others seem to think. You just have to make an effort and try
