OMG the most boring class ever. If i didn't have a friend in this class there is no way staying awake would be possible. Reads the ppt word for word. 3 tests 25 Q A/B multiple choice. 50 Q cumulative final. Tests are harder than you think so STUDY! Also, 12 1 pg papers. Definitely do the extra credit and reading my not seem essential but it is!

Lectures can be pretty dry at times. Tests are pretty easy, but do the readings and study guides!! Each test has 25 questions with only two options, they're easy but only if you study. He offers a LOT of extra credit too. He's pretty easy going and has hilarious trivia questions and prizes. =)

His lectures were very unorganized. You will have better luck not coming to class ans just reading the book. He is good at holing your hand through the project though. And you get multiple chances to redo homework and papers.

Didn't actually teach and only taught to the two front rows and the people he knew already. Hard to hear but all he did was read the powerpoints that he gave us at the beginning of the year. Tests were on material we didn't cover and doesn't give study guides. I love psychology and the premise of this class but it was ruined by his ineptitude

This is the most boring class I have ever taken! He wrote the book himself, then his powerpoints go over it..and you never really learn anything new. The tests can be tricky, since there are only A and B answers, and somtimes both seem to work. Ok class, but I would switch to someone less boring!

Prof Herzog is really nice, and he'll help you out anytime you need it...But the book is written by him, and it's not helpful considering his lectures are based on the same wording, so if you don't get one, you won't find backup in the other. The paper is the saving grace of the class, no way to fail it, and it will make sure you pass the class!

This is the most boring class I have ever taken in my life. Prof Herzog is really nice and wants you to learn but somehow manages to make the class so boring that you can barely pay attention. I think it's the course material that's really boring. Grades based off four multiple choice tests (A or B answers), two powerpoints, and four question sets.

Herzog is a nice, goofy guy. He is very straightforward about what is expected of you in his class. Tests are all mult choice with only two choices. He wrote the text that is assigned, so it is exceptionally cheap and less convoluted than other research methods texts. He is also very helpful. I really liked him.

this is seriously the worst professor i have ever had at grand valley. he doesn't teach anything... maybe this class is just ridiculously boring, but do not take him if you can help it. his tests and all the material was easy... but i wanted to go to sleep during every class. he is so difficult to understand!

Very helpful and good guy. Tests cover complex material but are still easy since the format is forgiving with only two choices possible for each item. Covers material quickly so you'll need to read. The coursepack is essentially free since you can just copy it from someone or buy it for the printing costs. Very helpful with paper revisions.

Good guy. I didn't like the book that was written by him. It did save money though. He talks extremely fast and talks quietly too. He is willing to help, you only have to get him to slow down enough to understand him. He's not too bad, but it doesn't hurt to shop around.

Class was quite difficult, but he made it manageable. Quirky, yet funny guy. Exams are a little difficult and material is challenging, but he gives you two tries on the papers, so it's easy to do good on those. Textbook is cheap. Would recommend this prof and class.

Very interesting course. But not with this professor. Very unclear. Your read 90+ pages a week and you are expected to know it all. When you ask him a question he doesnt answer it he turns to the class for help so they can try to answer it. Not so fun!!!
