Wolffe was my favorite professor at GV. His lectures are extremely informative and clear and he makes OS seem pretty straightforward. He is knowledgeable and is also caring and wants everyone to understand the material. The labs and the homeworks are well made so that they reinforce the material. Take OS with Wolffe if you can!

Super interesting guy. Finished undergrad with a major in biology, was a forklift driver for a while, and ended up pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering. He has the rare ability to take complicated topics and explain them with easy-to-digest analogies. His class is very challenging, but this is definitely the professor to go with for OS.

He is very effective at teaching touch and technical concepts. He explains things very well, offers great answers to student questions, and uses helpful analogies. He is a bit of a tough grader, but the expectations are laid out so you can guess what grade you will get before turning it in.

OK, at first I thought this was a lot of work for a non-major. But then I got a summer job that actually used this stuff and felt like I contributed. Thanks, Prof. Wolfe for giving me the confidence to do that. great course.

Really great professor. The projects are difficult and will take time but if you spread it out you will get finished. He gives really detailed feedback when you ask and grades exactly to what he's asking of you.

His projects are tough, but there is enough time if you start right away. People expect him to give up more information help when they ask him for help, but he really pushes students to solve problems on their own. I think it is appropriate for this type of learning. He's a very nice guy who's easy to talk to with a passion for what he's teaching.

He's super "helpful". Everytime you ask him a question. He will tell you to go google it. I don't think you can avoid taking this class with him so you are kind stuck

Great lectures and labs are enjoyable. The individual programming assignments are huge in comparison to the labs, but you have two weeks to do them. Not a very helpful professor when you ask him a question, and he's not very understanding or lenient.

Probably the best CIS professor in the department. Definitely my favorite professor I've had so far. He is very knowledgeable and keeps organized. The difficulty of the course is just right. If you pay attention during class and actually try to understand the material covered by homework, labs, and projects, you should be fine.

Best Prof. Ever! Not kidding. Take no one else for OS, you learn so much it's absolutely amazing. Be prepared to work though, exams are tough but fair, and the 3 projects were fun. One of the toughest classes and probably the most that I really enjoyed.
