I loved Professor Watts! He is so kind and he really wants you to succeed at Spanish. The homework was very easy and I feel like I really did get better at Spanish this year. Participation is very important, so you have to pay attention in class, but thats how you improve. Cant recommend enough!

Didn't have a great experience with Prof Watts. He grades pretty tough as I would try my best but never could get anything over a B. The compositions and oral exams were graded in a way that you cannot make mistakes if you want an A. Nothing we did furthered my learning in the class. Waits months to put grades into BB & isn't good at emails.

Professor Watts is very sweet and really cares about his students. I say this class is so easy because the online activities are almost always unlimited attempts, and he is a very easy grader. That being said, he does give good feedback on the two papers that you write, and he is very helpful when you have questions. Overall, a great professor!!

Professor Watts challenges his students and helps them continue to learn and expand their Spanish vocabulary. He may assign a lot of homework, but if you work hard and participate, you will be proud of your growth. He is kind and laid-back, but can be a tad bit confusing with instructions, so just ask for clarification!

As a native speaker, I found this class a little boring and his accent bothered me, but Professor Watts was overall a great teacher. Most all of the students liked him. He was nice and understanding. The entire class was in Spanish. You have to write a few papers but they aren't all that difficult.

The class was pretty organized until a whole week of classes got canceled due to bad weather. Youll be writing papers all semester and each one is 3 drafts. If youre struggling with understanding Spanish in class, dont be afraid to ask him to explain terms or repeat what he said. Overall, he was really nice and helpful throughout the course.

Prof Watts is a nice guy but class is pretty difficult. Extremely lecture heavy and he is not the best at explaining things. Class is graded on 3 exams, 4 papers, 1 presentation, and participation.

Professor Watts is one of the better professors that I have had. He is very knowledgeable and caring. I struggled a little in this class because I knew nothing about English Phonetics, but do the homework and pay attention and you will learn quickly. Very nice and caring professor. Would recommend at a friend and take again in the future.

One of the better Spanish profs at GV, second time taking one of his classes. Very friendly and willing to help. Class mainly consist of lectures and time to discuss topics with small groups. Short essay assignments, a midterm, and final essay. Would recommend.

I came into this class not knowing anything about English phonetics, which was my downfall. I felt as if I could attend class and understand his lecture, then take the test and "voice recordings" and not have a clue of what to say or do. His reviews helped, but only somewhat because questions on the exam took a different spin on lecture material.

A little unclear on topics and expectations at times but is willing to accept late assignments due to unclarity. Makes study guides for the tests which are helpful. Jokes around and tries to have fun with the class. Overall he's a really friendly person and a decent professor. Would recommend him!

Hes a VERY nice man. However hes unclear about his expectations and was very unorganized during class. Being a Spanish major who will be studying in Spain for a semester I am looking for a class that will challenge my Spanish skills and this class did not do so at all. I feel as if I learned very little from this class. I will NOT take him again.

Profe Watts is a great professor. He is sometimes unclear, but will be lenient if you make a mistake based on his lack of clarity. He is fun, interesting and seems to genuinely care about his students. The class is medium difficulty, but he is an easy grader. One of my favorite teachers ever.

Prof. Watts is wonderful! After reading a lot of the comments from the 201 and 321 people, my guess is that they found it difficult to have him talk entirely in Spanish. Well, guess what, it's a SPANISH class. For 308, Prof. Watts was great. His expectations were clear and his exams coincided with the course material. Taking him again WI 13.

Very nice professor. We rarely have any required homework. Exams are easy. The only difficult thing is that he uses very advanced grammar and sometimes it's hard to completely understand what he says.

He is very unclear with assignments and homework and not always organized, the homework rarely went along with the class. He is VERY picky with grading and expects your essays to be perfect. He knows the language extremely well but gets easily distracted and its hard to learn much in this class
