The hardest grader I have ever had. Really wonderful, knowledgeable person, but the expectations are so high I felt like in order to get at least a B, I had to have a degree in research studies. Feedback is always vague and confusing, and when asking for clarification she tends to be a bit offended.

She is a super great professor. She is a kind and sweet person in general, but her lectures are informative and the exams aren't built to blindside you. She has review sessions before the exams that are incredibly helpful, and is easy to contact. It's not easy being a professor right now during covid but she did a great job!

Shupe is a really nice person, but grades really harsh. The only grades that you have are exams, a few quizzes, and the literature review due at the end of the semester. Although it is a "semester long" assignment, not much guidance is given until the end so it is tough to start it until two weeks before it is due. Overall is a solid prof.

Her assignments were out of few points, and she graded very harshly. A 6 page paper could be worth 10 points in her eyes, and if you mess something up you are done for. She expects your papers to be one of a graduated psych major, which is not exceptable for a psych 300 course. TAKE A DIFFERENT PROFESSOR.

Shupe is a wonderful prof. The class is based on two exams, some quizzes, and two homework assignments. The exams are half mc and half short answer. While the class and information is easy to learn, she is a tough grader, so make sure you really know your stuff for the exams. She makes you work for it, but that's normal for a high-level class.

Professor Shupe is very nice and it's clear she knows what she is doing. I had her for a very lecture heavy class, and although she is good at explaining the material, her lecturing is very bland. I just found it very difficult to sit and pay attention. If lecturing and note taking is the way you learn best, you'll do well. If not, avoid this class

She's an extremely caring person, but this class is hard. She has very unclear grading criteria and often treats it as if everyone will be continuing on to the higher level class. You have a semester long paper and numerous exams. Exams are half multiple choice and half short answer.

Prof. Shupe is awesome! PSY 300 can be a very challenging course, but she works hard to make sure everyone is on the same page. The research project was broken up and she made it a lot less overwhelming than it could have been. Not a lot of outside studying needed, just SHOW UP and pay attention -- you'll be all good. She is understanding.

This may be one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. You will have four exams that are Multiple choices which is very challenging and essay questions. You will also have three quizzes which are based on scholarly readings. If you want to pass this class be prepared for long nights of studying and make sure to attend all the classes.

Mrs. Shupe is a good professor, but Dont take this class unless you are willing to work hard. One major downfall she has is that shes super lazy when it comes to answering emails and fails to answer any question Ive ever sent her. Which was extremely annoying.

She is a great professor! Her slides are easy to follow and she discusses everything very thoroughly. She makes class fun by breaking it up with partner work or group activities that aren't bad at all. Her exams are not shocking, she tells you exactly what you need to know and the expectation is clear before the exam. She is awesome!

Professor Shupe is an extremely nice person and very knowledgeable on social psychology. The lectures were interesting and cohesive. I never dreaded the class and was always happy to go. The final is noncumulative and the exams are clear and consistent with her study guide.

She gives bullet points on certain topics, but doesn't completely explain the concepts and leaves them to be discussed by the class. She had a hard time keeping the class on track because students would talk about their personal examples too much. Her exams have about 20 MC and 4 essay prompts and there are essay quizzes. She can be a picky grader

This was not an easy class, and expectations are high, but that should be a matter of course for an advanced research class. Roughly half of the class periods consisted of brief consults, and structure was minimal. Success is dependent upon initiative, a solid PSY300 background, and willingness to seep help when necessary. Prof Shupe is wonderful!

She hasn't taught the class in a while so she wasn't organized. She treated it like a grad level course. Two group projects but both are conducting research and writing the research article. Multiple quizzes and assignments on assigned reading materials. She's has a strange grading system, instead of half points you may get tenths of a point.

Only 4 tests, 3 quizzes, 4 assignments, and 1 research paper that will be turned in at the end of the semester. Her tests were fairly hard as the material got more challenging as the semester progressed. Definitely don't wait last minute to study. She isn't helpful answering questions via email so instead schedule an appointment with her.

Professor Shupe is the first professor who acts like she understands our college workload. She moved tests and canceled classes during high stress times. She makes you work for your grade, but is willing to offer advice to achieve the grade you want. If you know the material on the study guides you should be fine on the exams. Take her!

Professor shupe is a great person and I really enjoyed the class but if you're looking for an easy A then this is not the professor you want. She is a tough grader and when going to ask for help she doesn't give much feedback. I wouldn't take this professor again.

Professor Shupe was fantastic! She breaks up the final proposal into steps throughout the semester so it does not feel overwhelming at all. She gives very good feedback on the paper and her tests are usually fairly easy! i highly recommend taking her
