Yes, the class was very unorganized and could have been better with a clearer objective. The class has only been offered once before this section. I encourage students to experience at least one of Dr. Joseph's classes while at GVSU.

Do not take this professor. He is so unorganized and lost. He hasn't taught me anything and I was so willing to learn. He left the country on the last week of classes without telling us and he never posted evaluations. He is a worthless teacher. Do not take him.

Probably the most interesting person you will ever meet if you get a chance to talk to him. He is a pretty easy grader and is very lenient. His classes are easy, however, he is not very structured or organized. I got much better grades in his classes than I really deserved.

I wonder if any of the students with bad grades ever bothered to chat with Dr. Joseph. I deserved the C+ I received and I earned the B+ in GPY 310. There is a method to the madness. However, he could use some organizational skills.

This professor is unable to grade anything in a timely manner. He did not give me a single grade during the semester until he turned in the final grades. You think you're doing good but you're really not. I had a 3.9 GPA and ended up with a D+ in his class, complete BS! He is a terrible prof, talks about is caddy & traveling more than anything

Reading some of the other comments, it may seem like it would be best to stay away from him... but he was probably one of my favorite profs. Sit in the front, he's soft spoken. I think for a cultual class, it really helps having a teacher from another country. It's an easy class, online tests, only need to look up answers from the text.

Nice guy, but don't take his class. He is all over the place and doesn't tell you what he expects from you. He thinks you have all the time in the world to devote to a class that you learn nothing in. All he talks about is himself and then expects you to get an A on the tests.

This guy is the worst I ever had. He does not respond to e-mails or phone calls. Would not work with me at all b/c I could not attend two of these meetings he wants you to attend outside class. You have to upload tests to safe assign, his personal hard drive, and bb. Very unorganized. FIND A DIFFERENT PROF. I can not believe he still teaches.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS AT ALL COST. Waste of money and time. I have had some bad professors but this guy tops it. HORRIBLE. He does not respond to his emails or phone calls. Will not make an appointment with you if you can?t make it to his office hours. If you must take his class bring a laptop because you will need it to surf the Internet.

I had him for 307 and 309. If at all possible do not take a class with him. He is all over the place. He doesn't tell you what he actually wants from you until the last possible second. He pretends to be helpful but isn't. He thinks that he is a success as a prof if his students are frustrated and hate him. That doesn't help anyone.

Gpy 220 is my lowest level geography class I've taken and with out a doubt the worst I've recieved A's in all 4 gpy classes and I got a B in his. This class is terrible as is the professor, don't take it if you can, you can not get an A

I had to retake this class, and it still didnt help in a good grade! He uses online tests which are horrible. You cant go back to other questions and if your power goes out you cant retake it. He never graded a paper I turned in and Im not sure if he even graded a test of mine. Funny but a total lack of organization from a prof. is just bad form.

This class was a total letdown. EJ was unorganized and horrible at getting grades back. I only saw my first exam - it took him over a month to grade our midterms and he only passed back approx. 10/30+ students - also horrible at responding to emails! AVOID if possible - I've heard many complaints about his other classes he's taught in the past.

Great guy. Great interesting stories. But the class is boring. He does get off topic a lot and makes you wonder why you bother coming to class. But he is a great guy with his heart in the right place. But even if he is a bore...class is an easy A. He offers lots of extra credit and all tests are open book. Fun assignments. Just a boring class!!

Professor Joseph means well, but he is so unorganized. He is excited about what he teaches, but somehow always ends up trailing off into one of his stories about Trinidad. If I had known how unorganized he was I wouldnt have taken his class.

He seems like a nice enough guy, but he is the most frustrating instructor i've ever had. He is very unclear on his directions, he is hard to hear and understand in class, and he is usually talking about something with little or no relevance to the course. Then he tests you on things he didn't come close to teaching. Very unorganized and forgetful.
