Mullendore is very knowledgeable about the information but expects you to know it too. She is very rude if someone asks a question. She acts sassy if a person doesn't know the answer. Exams are hard because some things are not in the lecture or book. Her class is only based on a few grades which is really annoying if you do bad on exams.

The class consist of 3 exams, a court observation paper & participation. Attendance is mandatory. She gives you outlines to follow with the lectures (that aren't posted) and the outlines do not follow the lectures / she discusses topics very fast and gets irritable if you have a hard time understanding. Exams are lengthy & hard as well. Work hard!!

Content of this class is real helpful for CJ & Mullendore is very knowledgable. There is a lot to learn, so each of the 3 tests has a lot of info but if you study and ask questions you'll do fine. One court observation paper and attendance is marked. If you put in the effort and study for the tests you'll learn a lot and do well.

Very nice prof. Graded on a court report and 3 exams plus attendance. Exams are mildly difficult but she grades the essays very fairly and the majority of the exams are essay questions. If you work for it you'll get an A or A-.

Prof. Mullendore is amazing. I really enjoyed her class. If you do the readings prior, show up, and participate you will learn so much. She is very smart and take advantage of office hours, she helped me out so much and I really got to know her and overall she is a great prof and I would take her again.

Professor Mullendore was a prosecutor was 14 years so she really knows her stuff. This class was lot of reading and the tests were half written which is usual for law classes. The grade is based on two tests, participation, court observation assignment and paper. Bring a laptop to take notes on she often goes through the Powerpoints very fast.

Mullendore is brilliant and I think she is an incredible teacher. That being said, you want to get on her good side. She is very blunt and it WILL affect your grade if you show her disrespect or are lazy. If you don't have any legal background this class would be extremely hard. Be a good student and she's a great prof. Not for the sensitive.

She has very high expectations for her students. She is obviously very knowledgeable and influential if you are going into legal studies, but if you are not then avoid taking her class. She talks down to her students consistently, but if you can ignore that and take advantage of her office hours she will help you out. Patience is key.

Mullendore requires an acquired taste, per se. She is VERY intelligent and has high expectations of her students. If you follow her rules and communicate with her, you'll grow to be on her good side which is super beneficial. 3 exams, and you MUST READ AND STUDY! She cares about your education, & becomes frustrated when you waste her time.

Professor Mullendore is very wordy. She knows her topic well but struggles to explain it well, and has an even harder time clarifying. Her class is very dense and she heavily expects you to read the massive Legal Studies book you are given to understand the material, although the book is about as difficult to understand as her class.

Go to lecture always and read the book (at least skim it- dont even look at it and you wont pass.) Proff is amazing. I love her lecture and her stories. Gives guides on every chapter and clear study guides for tests. She is a tough grader so keep up and study hard but she is also very helpful with questions and is fair.

She is actually a very good teacher if you pay attention and do what she asks of you. If you are struggling I suggest talking with her as she is more than willing to work with you in order to get you through her class successfully.

Mullendore definitely knows the material. She has great stories and explains concepts of the courts really well. You have to attend class and read the book (at least the definitions) to do really well in this class but for the most part if you know the definitions you'll be fine.

I've had Mullendore more than once & I LOVE her. I purposely take her classes now. She's tough, you must pay attention, & yes, you must study for her exams. But she's always been fair. If you put in the work you'll see the results. It won't be an easy A but you'll learn a lot. And an easy A isn't what I'm paying thousands of dollars for anyways.

Must have a laptop for notes. You'll get a study guide, MUST learn concepts. Not a class to memorize things. It took a long time to try and figure her out and what she expected, and I worked really, really hard. However, I got good grades, so I think my problem was more not understanding her as a professor. But she's nice and will work with you.

Attendance was taken in this class for a participation grade worth 10% of the whole grade at the end of the semester. She gives you study guides for each of the 3 exams and tells you what she wants to know. Make sure you TAKE NOTES even though the lectures are dry and skim the book. The hardest part of the class is a huge court observation paper.

Professor Mullendore is a eat person, but her lectures are crazy. She goes through the lecture notes pretty fast so I would recommend a laptop to take notes. She gives you test Highlites before every exam. DO THEM, IT WILL SAVE YOU! Her exams are hard but if you do the highlites you should be good.

I LOVE Professor Mullendore. She is one of my favorite profs at GVSU. I had her for LS 201 and CJ 340. She is a very fair grader and does not want to fail you. If you put in the effort, you will get an A. She was a prosecutor and is very knowledgable about law. Lots of interesting stories.
