Comment:
There isn't a lot of material to use, I read the textbook and used the powerpoints and still had to find videos to help me with homework. You do have to work, but he is always helpful when you ask questions. Only complaint is frequency of homework, it could be due same day as exams, but if he knows you work hard he isn't bad about late work.

Comment:
I took Econ 201 online - he didn't really give any powerpoints or tools to learn, so you had to read and teach yourself the concepts. However, he was very willing to help answer any questions. I did dislike how much homework he gave - every Friday starting at week one there were chapter assignments due, even if it was an assessment (his tests) week

I took the first level of this course with a different professor and passed it by one point and feared taking this course. Choosing Professor Hillar at WCU was the best decision I made on campus. He makes you work for the grade but everything you get, you earn 100% and he takes pride in his students. If you have the chance, choose Hillar.

Dr. Neumann is now working at WCU and is a fantastic professor. Although he gets sidetracked a lot and is very cautious with his statements, you can tell he's a good guy at heart. He makes attendance mandatory and bases his tests off of what he discusses. If you go, its an easy A. Would recommend if taking for a gen ed requirement

A really funny guy that makes you want to come to class. Isn't afraid to call you out if you are slacking though. Pay attention in class and you'll love him. You may have to work a little bit more to get a good grade on the test.

He is hands down one of the worst professors I have ever had. He doesn't know how to teach, doesn't use the book, refuses to use power points in class. and is more concerned with him self and that no one takes his stupid jokes and off the wall sense of humor the wrong way. His class is completely unstructured. wastes tons of time, talks to fast

Very helpful and knows what he's talking about. Firm when it comes to assignment due dates but willing to work with you if you have a personal issue. Very fair with grading. Used examples that were actually interesting and relevant.

This teacher thinks too highly of himself. He is very knowledgable of what he teaches, but in class we never seem to get anything done. His sylabus said we were going to get through 10 chapters and we didn't even get all the way through 6 chapters.

I used to have to utmost respect for this guy but somehow in the last year things have gone completely downhill. His jokes are no longer funny, they are just insulting and he seems to have a lot of contempt for the other departments on campus. Though he knows what he is talking about when it comes to economics, he doesn't live in the real world.

He makes class interesting, whether it be a story about a broken leg getting him laid in college or something actually having to do with economics. He is arrogant, self indulged, cocky, etc., but he does a great job teaching the basics of economics.

Interesting guy. He is a good teacher - in my opinion, he does a great job teaching the material and keeping things, for the most part, fun. He likes to talk to athletes and smart students.

If you're not in a sport, he won't acknowledge your presence in the class. The only people he ever talks to are the basketball or soccer players. Ever.

He thinks EXTREMELY highly of himself while playing the "modest" card. I can tell you all about his life because storytelling is all he does. The classes themselves aren't bad, I just wish it was with a different professor. Roll call for 20 students took 45 uninterrupted minutes. And he's late very often. Yet people seem to worship him.
