You read. You write (well or learn to do so). You think. You learn. Fundamentally fine professor.

Way, way too much reading. She's a decent teacher if you're ok with that. You'll only get good grades if you repeat what you've read from every assigned reading source on the topic. You have to read everything she assigns, which is a lot. Beginning of the semester, she even warned that students complain about how much reading they have to do.

LOVED this class. Incredibly stimulating. Such a great topic. TONS of reading though. Don't take this class unless you love to read. The class was very easy if you did the reading. But the topic, the class, and the teacher were great. One of the best classes I've ever taken. SO INTERESTING!!!!

This was a great class. You need to do a lot of reading but it is worth the time. She gives you a study guide for the essay exams. One exam is in class and the other two are take home and are on two different books. You need to do the reading in order to complete the work - if you don't have time to devote to the reading - wait until you can.

A terrific professor. She engages the class in projects, writing assignements and other tasks that while challengeing are not over the top. I belive she will teach in the spring now and is well worth the time to learn from.

Dr. Wheeler was the absolute best professor I have ever had.I rearanged my sched every semester to ensure I had room for at least 1 of her courses. She made material real and opened every topic for interpretation. The key is to be a REAL STUDENT. Don't waste her time by taking up a seat if have no intentions on exploring the topics.

Very interesting course, full of discussion. A good amount of reading is required, so be sure to stay on schedule. Go to class and participate in discussion, and the course should be easy.

Dr. Wheeler is one of the best profs. i've had and i've taken over 180 units. That being said, the key to doing well in her class is talking to her and sharing your thoughts. She was very open to new ideas on writing assignments and graded very fairly. No class is a good one without effort, good professor or not.

I did not find her to be hard or unfair on papers or the exam. She does expect you to do a good deal of reading, but as long as you keep up with it, you should have no trouble getting through the class. Ask her questions rather than guess what she wants and you'll find her grading to be fair.

Horrible on grading papers, I'm not sure if she even read it. She does not give comments, she also seems to favor certain students.
