I will never pass up an opportunity to take a course offered by Jay. He's a super caring prof who's passionate and knowledgeable about what he teaches. He always has great stories about the material at hand. I've taken many classes with him and have never been disappointed, he is an overall great professor and person. Super understanding too!

Dr. Clifford was an easy prof, his class was 3 hours long, once a week which was hard to get through at times due to his lectures being pretty dry. He was really nice, and approachable, and was very lenient on due dates.

Very hard to hear, super dry material in his lectures made it hard to focus. Exams did not accurately depict what we learned in class and was confusing.

He seems nice but not very good at speaking, using technology such as slideshows, short video clips, or even simply speaking louder would help a lot. I find it difficult to understand what he is saying for notes, he also wastes a lot of paper that could be posted on moodle (if he used it!) But that is just how I learn best as a student.

Prof. Clifford taught me Intro to Criminology as a night class. He made the three hours very worth it to sit there all night. He is open to many subjects of discussion, responds to emails quickly (even over the weekend), and is flexible for exams, and late assignments. You'll need the textbook to pass the mid-term, though.

Good professor. He has a lot of experience and frequently shares that with the class. The lectures can be a little boring but he gives out some test answers. The assignments and tests are pretty easy so it's not a big deal if you miss class.

Prof Clifford is absolutely amazing. The level of passion is unbelievable, he really wants to see you succeed. Gives a ton of real examples of what he teaches to really reinforce the lecture. Attendance is important, he will give out all of the slides in a email and you will see people stop showing up, still show up, he will give extra points.

He's not called Easy A Jay for nothing! Great prof, super approachable. Easy assignments, for the criminal justice seminar there was 2 short papers and a group project. Clifford is passionate about what he teaches and I believe he really wants all his students to succeed

No test or quizzes in the class. Gave lots of hints about what was going to be on the midterm and final (he even gave us a few exact questions). Gives LOTS of time to complete assignments . Very fair marker! I would recommend showing up to some classes to get hints on the finals! Do not use textbook in class but a MUST for papers and studying.

While his interest in the subject matter is very evident he is also quite repetitive. Seemed to have a hard time hearing people when they asked questions. Refused to give any feedback on my paper. Exam was confusing and did not represent what we did in class. Gives everyone the same grades which doesn't seem fair.

Great prof! Jay makes classes interesting and interacts with the class. He expects participation but if you are interested in the subject it is as easy as an everyday conversation. I must say this class was very easy. No tests or exams, just a couple 5 page papers and a group project. Very fun course and definitely recommend the prof!

Essays topics are straight forward without any twist... Do the work and you'll def pass; if you sit in the back expect to watch about 15-20 different hockey games on student laptops... Prof. Clifford also works full time so he usually only has night classes. He usually cuts 3h classes into 2h - 2.5h...

Known as easy A Jay. However, despite work effort he pretty much gives everyone the same mark. He seems to enjoy his field. One plus was that there was no tests- just papers that he vaguely mentions, but a lot of choice. Good class to have as a filler. He did make the content interesting.

Very interesting man with lots of experiences in his field.If your interested in criminology at all i strongly recommend him. i first took his class because i heard it was a bird course and ended up making crim my mayor because he made it so interesting!one of the best profs at stu!!:)

Such a boring class. Easy marker, but I can hardly make it through the class. The fact that I never pay attention and can still pull off a good mark is good for me, but reflects poorly on him. Very nice man though, I don't have anything against Easy A Jay!
