Leigh is a really good person and she is super sweet, but the class itself is very challenging. She does her best to help you understand what is going on but it should not be an online class. It is so much to learn and just was a bad call to be made online. She is very good about helping you though so that's nice. Exams are tough though.

Personally found her online format hard to follow and taught myself the material. What she teaches in the lectures doesn't correlate to the homework or exams which are 100x harder. Has a ton of homework and quizzes but its only worth a small % of your overall grade. Her 3 exams are worth 65% of your grade so if you do bad on one exam youre screwed

I can't complain much since I got an A but the lectures are pretty brutal. Every class is about and hour and thirty minutes of formulas and jumbled crap that she can hardly even get out in a coherent manner followed by the last fifteen minutes saying "but we don't need any of that because we have excel". Why even bother with talking about formulas

Homework is not turned in nor graded, but you will only do well in the class if you do the homework by her suggested due dates. She is willing to help with the homework during office hours. Her lectures are fairly easy, the homework is harder and the exam is exactly like the homework. She is very nice, explains things clearly, and grades fairly.

Leigh is an average prof. She goes through things well in class for people that aren't familiar with Excel. Don't bother going to her office hours because she is no help and makes you feel stupid

Leigh doesn't explain how she is doing the problems or where she finds the answer. She obviously knows a lot about Stats and is passionate about math, but a terrible teacher with little to no support.

The classes go over easy problems. With the homework, it gets harder however she doesn't explain the how to do these harder problems. You need to utilize the TA or go to her during her office hours. Lastly, the exams can ask questions that she didn't go over during class, or was relative to the homework.

This class has been one of the toughest ones Ive ever taken. She can be very boring and it can be hard to pay attention. Assignments (which there arent many of) take hours to complete but are worth barely any points. All the points go towards the 3 exams which if you fail you wont pass the class. Do not recommend taking her at all!

OR is a tough class no matter what, Leigh is a good professor for it, however her exams can be tough. If you pay attention in class and do the homework you'll be fine. There is one group project.

Leigh is better than most math teachers I have had, but I think she thinks that we are like five years old. She repeats everything eight times and one or two will do. The hour and 15-minute lecture could probably take 45 minutes at most if she would stop repeating herself. Overall I would take her again though because good math teachers are rare.

Leigh is a very generous grader. Because the course is weighed harshly, she makes the course laid back, and she does a good job teaching in her lectures. As long as you take the class seriously and go for help when you don't understand something, you'll do well in this course. The only thing I didn't like was her TA's. They were monotone in the lab

She is very boring and is very hard to pay attention. I had to work in a group for every assignment because I was so lost in the class. She makes you learn everything on your own because her lectures are not helpful at all. The lab is a totally different TA and it was very confusing to follow.

While class was not mandatory, I still went every day. This is by far the hardest class I have taken here. One of the biggest issues is that she struggled with rephrasing the points she wanted to get across when asked for help, everything was only ever described one way.

Does her best with this tough subject. Doesn't curve so you best try your hardest. Very willing to help, great office hours and asks during class. Don't blame her for your shortcomings with OR. Either you won't ever understand it or you're not working hard enough. Most of the time it's ppl not working hard enough. D is passing though
