Comment:
Do not take this class with this professor online. I was expecting to be able to work at my own pace, but I couldn't. Way too much group work and assignments are unlocked for a few days before they are due. Sometimes the workload was manageable but other times was way too much. Final is brutal and gave writing assign during finals week after exam.

The class isnt terrible. The first half is spent on connected and more focused on accounting topics and the second half is on capsim, a business simulation. He lays out what is expected very clearly and is available for office hours.

If you are super passionate about accounting I guess you could do okay in this class. I really don't believe the class time was ever used well and all learning is to be done on your own. Office hours were never worthwhile either. The only reason I got a B in this class was because of someone taking a different instructor who tutored me on the side.

Great professor, while he is homework heavy the material covered in the homework make the exams easy. He cares a lot about his students work and opinion. He will work with you as long as you reach out to him.

He is a good professor it is just his tests are a difficult and the homework is confusing. He makes sure he has plenty of time to help you pass though and is willing to work with you. However, if you skip class your grade drops a lot. With all of this, he is probably one of the better acct profs out there.

He's a great guy but his lectures are not great. The first half of the semester is tested from the textbook, but the second half is Capsim. Be ready to work in teams because trying to do everything by yourself can be hard. Go see him or the GA's, they are very helpful and will make sure you understand.

This class will make you think. If you struggle at any point, talk to him or his GAs- they are very approachable. There is a lot of homework but it prepares you well for exams and Capsim. Often brings in articles of real-world concepts. Be aware that there are lots of group projects and not a lot of time to work on them, especially during Capsim.

First half of the semester was lecture style and the second half capsim was a great learning experience. Make sure you do homework even though he does not collect it all as it helps you prepare for exams.

Doesn't teach very well the first half. Assigns homework and expects you know what's going on by the next class, then doesn't explain how he got half the numbers. The grad assistants are your new best friends cause they'll be teaching you everything. Better hope he puts you in a good group for capsim or your grade is screwed. Super cool guy though.

He relies entirely on the book. He lacks the ability to teach. If you want to learn accounting you'll have to take another professor or teach yourself. If you want to get a good grade... Cheat or get Chegg. the girl next to me cheated the whole time and has 97% I haven't and I got 82%

Professor Ziegler is very friendly and helpful. If you don't understand the material at the beginning of the course, you will fall behind quickly. He puts you into groups to work on quizzes and homework which is very helpful. Exams are extremely hard and the study guides do not really reflect them.

Capsim is tough, be sure to read the guidebook given at the beginning of Capsim. Be prepared for group projects such as a video at the end of the semester. When the Capsim challenge starts, the classes become boring.

Overall he is a pretty good professor. He assigns you into groups. Hopefully you get put into a good group otherwise your grade will suffer. He is very passionate about accounting and gives really good real life examples. Test are pretty hard. Very nice guy but sometimes his teaching strategies are not the best. You go over the homework in class.

He's the go to accounting professor. He offers a lot of points throughout the semester and as long as you pay attention and study for tests you will pass. Attendance is part of your grade, and always do the homework he says will be collected!

I thought Zeigler was a really good teacher, and very helpful. It is easy for people to bash the teacher when the class is hard, so I think he explained everything as best as he could. Make sure you buy the book!!!

Teaches both accounting 1 & 2. Accounting 2 SUCKS no matter who you take it with. This class is all about getting a good group or you're screwed. Zeigler really cares about students & is open to helping anyone. Exams are the exact same as the group quizes. CAPSIM requires a large amount of time. This should be a 5 credit hour class. TAKE ZEIGLER

I thought he was a good teacher. His lectures are boring but I don't like accounting so it's all boring to me. Hope you get a good group, a lot of your points come from attendance quizzes and group quizzes. Depend on your group a lot, especially in capsim, make sure you meet. Had 2 exams, not too bad. He cares about acct and his students!
