The only thing I have against Dr. Hunter is that she is really bad at responding to emails. The work load is honestly kind of ridiculous. This class may have not been as difficult if I didn't take it online. I won't tell you not to take this class. But, if you do. You need to make sure it's a priority cause you won't pass if you have missing work.

Barbara Hunter is an amazing teacher! I loved her lectures and really enjoyed the class. There was a lot of busywork (discussion posts, journals, learning curves) but it was all easy if you actually read the textbook and did the study guides. She's super nice and cares about her students. Definitely recommend, especially if you're new to psych.

This was my first online class. The instructor was great, her expectations were clear. She would always respond in a timely manner. There was not additional time consuming projects to make up for not being in the classroom. The learning materials provided kept the class engaged. I would love to take an in person class with her!

My semester had been half online from the Covid-19 pandemic. During the whole time, she had been patient and willing to work/adapt with us. She stayed in contact to keep us updated and reminded us of the work. She posted recorded lectures and extra content to help. Overall, I loved having her for a semester and would always recommend her.

Mrs. Hunter is a little quirky and sometimes forgetful but overall her lectures are great and she explains concepts extremely well. This class takes more of a time-commitment than I expected but if you take good notes and pay attention than it's not too difficult at all. There is a lot of textbook reading and studying that has to be done.

Dr. Hunter is an amazing and knowledgeable professor. She makes classes interesting and enjoyable. Responsive and very direct She explains difficult concepts the way you get them easily. It is always nice to have a caring and gifted teacher. If you will take her class I guarantee you will love it.

I loved Barbaras class. Never took a psych class before, but she made it interesting and fun. If you attend class, pay attention, study and do all the work youll pass. Will definitely miss her.

Dr. Hunter is truly an outstanding teacher. There will be a fair amount of reading. You alternate between either doing exams or quizzes. She lets you use handwritten notes on the quizzes. As long as you work hard enough to prepare yourself its an easy A. If you dont prepare or study you will have a hard time.

The lectures were great. Make sure you are there for class. You have to spend a decent chunk of your time reading, but is necessary to do well on the tests. She gives out extra credit as well and offers retakes. The class is overall very enjoyable, but you have to invest good outside work to make it that way.

The best thing about this professor is that she offers a forgiveness period where you can make up missed work. I also enjoyed that all of the homework was released at the begining of the course, allowing us to work ahead. She takes off a ton of points for small spelling and grammar mistakes, but her assignments (journals) are full of mistakes too.

Doctor Hunter is amazing! She is hilarious and always takes the time to explain things in a different way if anyone is confused during lecture! She is understanding, fair, and very entertaining on top of being an excellent professor! If you have her you are in for a real treat! And you'll learn quite a bit in the process! Highly recommended:)

Professor Hunter is great! For her class attendance is important, but if you have something going on she completely understands. There are daily 3 question quizzes on the course chapter material, but she does drop some each semester for people that do have things going on. You could go to her for anything! Wonderful character. Great lectures!

Quizzes everyday for attendance. 1 easy paper. Several extra credit ops. READ THE CH. BEFORE CLASS. Allows notes on quizzes. Non comprehensive final. Business aside, Dr. Hunter is awesome!! Knows what shes talking about and presents it in a way anybody could understand. Cares about her students and makes class enjoyable. 12/10 would take again.

For my first semester, I was really nervous and I think I lucked out by getting such a great professor. If you miss a couple of days, you'll be fine, but a lot of the work is based off group work. Really, just do the homework and make sure you study for the exams. It's an easy class if you take it seriously!
