Joedy is often unclear with assignments, and I tend to use his class as nap time or a chance to catch up on other work. Do not need to attend the lectures necessarily to pass, except he grades heavily based on attendance. Does a great Donald Duck impression.

Good teacher. Lectures are long and dry. They can put you to sleep. Class is relatively easy if you pay attention. He knows a lot but can go through material very fast. Solid overall, but you better like the class or it won't be fun.

Put the class to sleep. Whenever you asked him for help he would go off topic and never give you an answer to your question. Never gave clear assignments. Do not take a 3 hour long class with him.

I had Joedy for Honors Intro to the bible. He knew the material really well, but was bland. He goes fast through some lectures. But there were times he would repeat the same lecture for a week! I did horrible on the quizes (av. 60%) and make sure you write a really good long essay for the exams. Do all of the extra credit and you WILL get an A

Coming from Catholic School..let me tell you, not a day went by that I didnt fall asleep in his class. He never brought his dog to class, which just made me sad. Read the text book before the test...you'll do fine. Yale? Could've fooled me.

take him!!! hes a cool guy a bit boring in class but everyonce in a while will tell you a good story gives you the essays for the tests a week before and will answer any questions you have project was easy and he loves anything you do great teacher, easy grader, has a semi strict attendance policy.

An easy good grade. Dr. Smith likes to drop names and tell personal stories (like his 5 grad degrees from Yale); and even though part of the course is like learning ancient middle eastern topography it is still an easy pass to get your (I) requirement.
